I suspect it won’t be on youtube very long. Block out a day (14 hours) and watch before it’s banned. Don’t expect it to run like Red Dawn with action scenes every 10 minutes. It’s heavier on politics and human social interaction. The sequence of events in the story is pretty good. My recollection from 24 years ago was a bit off on one piece. Not to spoil things, but the mass assassination on Capitol Hill and the destruction of the rotunda took place long after America had capitulated. There was no big battle before the initial takeover of the country. In fact, it’s unclear exactly how it was accomplished. Maybe it was a nuclear suitcase ransom via a few major cities or just a willingness of enough leaders at the time to join a larger global order. Either way, the series makes it clear it pretty much sucked to be a regular person who was against it –they were put into internal exile complete with security provided by a foreign garrison and internal checkpoints between the states.

Internal checkpoints are already becoming real on the road. You heard about those in Tennessee recently? How about the permanent one that’s 100 miles away from the border in Texas?

I’ll save my long story on how that was macribbed in Indiana more than a decade ago complete with a pretty girl standing by asking questions of travelers and entering data on a laptop. Very few people indicated a problem with it and no one took pictures.

3 Ex-u.s. Officials Hit Abc For ‘Amerika’ Series

NEW YORK — ABC, whose “Amerika” miniseries has angered the left, the right, the Soviet Union and the United Nations even before it has aired, now has a letter of concern signed by three former U.S. secretaries of State.

In it, Edmund Muskie, Alexander M. Haig and Dean Rusk urged the network to provide programming about U.N. peacekeeping operations to offset the miniseries’ depictions of oppression by Soviet-controlled U.N. forces.

The 14 1/2-hour production, to air Feb. 15-22, dramatizes life in the United States 10 years after a bloodless takeover by the Soviet Union, with the occupation forces known as “U.N. Special Service Units.”

ABC had no immediate comment Wednesday on their appeal, made in a letter to Capital Cities/ABC board Chairman Thomas S. Murphy. An ABC spokesman said Murphy was out of town when the letter arrived Tuesday afternoon and had not seen it yet. Murphy is due back today, he said.

ABC officials previously have insisted that the $35-million miniseries in no way means to disparage the United Nations as it exists today.

Still, in their appeal to ABC, Haig, Muskie, Rusk and several other former top U.S. officials expressed concern “that the portrayal of U.N. peacekeeping forces as brutal oppressors . . . will undermine public support for one of the most valuable aspects of the U.N.’s work.”

They asserted that “ABC could limit this damage by providing programming in conjunction with the miniseries that presents a balanced picture of the U.N.’s real-life efforts to keep peace in a troubled world.”

The letter was organized and sent by the United Nations Assn. of the U.S.A., a private research and educational group. Others who signed the letter included Jeane Kirkpatrick and Andrew Young, two former chief U. S. delegates to the United Nations.

Former national security advisers Robert McFarlane–now a central figure in the Iran- contra arms investigation–and Brent Scowcroft also signed the appeal.

The petition was yet another round in efforts by the United Nations and its supporters to seek changes in “Amerika” and to provide what they call a true picture of U.N. peacekeeping forces in the world’s trouble spots.

In October, the United Nations, distressed by the the use of blue-and-white U.N. symbols and the depiction of oppressive, black-uniformed U.N. troops in “Amerika,” hired Theodore Sorensen, once a special counsel to President John F. Kennedy, to negotiate with the network for changes.

In a Nov. 25 letter to ABC’s Murphy, Sorenson emphasized that the United Nations wasn’t threatening a lawsuit “to censor, suppress or block” the show’s broadcast but was requesting that the network, among other things:

–Make a “good-faith effort” to “achieve the maximum possible de-emphasis of all unauthorized and undignified use of and reference to the symbols and uniforms of the United Nations and its peacekeeping forces. . . .”

–Air before each episode a 90- to 120-second announcement by a spokesman for either the United Nations or the United Nations Assn. that makes clear that the U.N. forces depicted in the program “bear no resembles to the true U.N. peacekeeping force. . . .”

–For three months after “Amerika” airs, provide the U.N. “free public service airtime . . . for the presentation of ‘U.N. Minutes’ or other brief ‘spots’ or documentaries designed to bolster audience understanding of the U.N. as it actually is.”

In a Dec. 11 reply to Sorenson, ABC’s chief attorney, Stephen A. Weiswasser, said that the matter could be discussed. But he rejected what he called the world agency’s contention that “Amerika” would portray the U.N. in a disparaging manner “that will damage its ability to perform its important functions in the world.”

He said the drama “renders it unmistakable that the activities and institutions of . . . the United States and of the United Nations, as they are depicted in the series, bear no substantive resemblance to those institutions as they exist and function today.”

Discussions have been going on between ABC and Sorenson, said Dick Connelly, a network spokesman, “and hopefully there will be a resolution of some of the U.N. concerns.” He declined to elaborate on the talks.

Like I mentioned in How to Train the Neighbors to Hate (and Kill), you just don’t hear about programming anymore.

Programming has advanced so much since 1987. Poets can dream about the eyes being windows to the soul, but the eyes are certainly windows to the mind.

U.N. NEGOTIATING FOR CHANGES IN ABC’S ‘AMERIKA’

The United Nations quietly called in Mr. Sorensen last fall after it failed to dissuade ABC from depicting United Nations peacekeeping troops as murderers, rapists and arsonists, these officials said. The 14 1/2-hour series, to be aired starting Feb. 15, describes life in the United States 10 years after Soviet-backed occupiers, posing as United Nations peacekeepers, engineer a bloodless takeover.

It is highly unusual, but not unprecedented, for the United Nations to hire private attorneys to deal with cases where the organization’s small in-house legal staff has little expertise. United Nations officials said Mr. Sorensen’s fee would be paid from a special fund of voluntary contributions and not from the regular budget of the financially troubled United Nations.

Negotiations focus on a list of seven ”requests” for changes and additions that he presented to ABC officials last October, Mr. Sorensen, a senior partner in the New York law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, said in a telephone interview over the weekend. Mr. Sorensen’s wife, Gillian Sorensen, is New York City Commissioner for United Nations and Consular Affairs, serving as liaison between the city and the United Nations missions.

”Of course, we said we would prefer a peaceful resolution,” Mr. Sorensen said. ”I am cautiously optimistic that some progress will be made. But we haven’t ruled out legal action.”

He added, ”I have made it clear to ABC that I recognize their First Amendment rights and am not asking them to change their theme.”

Possibility of Suit Raised

The United Nations could file a lawsuit against ABC to prevent it from airing the program, he said. The unauthorized commercial use of the symbols of the United Nations is prohibited both by international law and a New York State statute.

In addition, strong opposition from the United Nations could weaken foreign sales of rights to the series, United Nations officials said.

The depiction of United Nations peacekeepers as criminals is particularly distressing for the United Nations, according to high-ranking officials, because the peacekeeping operations are regarded as one of the most successful innovations of the United Nations. More than 700 peacekeepers have died in the organization’s 41-year history, most recently an Irish soldier killed by Israeli tank fire in southern Lebanon on Jan. 10.

Protest Letters

The series has generated protests from former governmental officials and groups that span the political spectrum.

…others, have signed a letter of protest that is to be delivered to ABC Tuesday, according to one of the people who drafted the letter, Edward C. Luck. Mr. Luck is national president of the United Nations Association, a private research and educational group.

”We are concerned that the portrayal of U.N. peacekeeping forces as brutal oppressors in the forthcoming ABC mini-series ‘Amerika’ will undermine public support for one of the most valuable aspects of the U.N.’s work,” says the letter, which calls on the network to produce a program to counterbalance the series.

More than two dozen chapters of the United Nations Association have begun letter-writing protest campaigns to ABC affiliates asking them not to broadcast the series and to Chrysler, one of the corporate sponsors, Mr. Luck said.

At least 40 peace groups have organized educational activities, including vigils against ABC, briefings to local and church audiences, information kits for sale to schools and airing of bootlegged copies of ABC promotional reels.

Abc Won’t Drop ‘Amerika’ Despite Chrysler Pullout

NEW YORK — ABC, although losing Chrysler Corp. as a major sponsor of its controversial “Amerika” miniseries, said Wednesday the show still will air as scheduled and that it was “appalled” at the condemnation it has gotten before its broadcast.

The 14 1/2-hour drama, scheduled to begin airing Feb. 15, depicts a grim, drab life in the United States 10 years after a bloodless takeover by the Soviet Union, which uses United Nations peace-keeping forces as its occupation troops.

…ABC has received more than 4,000 letters critical of “Amerika” so far even though no outsiders or outside groups have yet seen more than 4 1/2 hours of it.

However, he emphasized that the statement was not suggesting that Chrysler–which had bought $5-million worth of advertising time on the show–had bowed out of it because of pre-broadcast pressure from critics of the drama.

In Detroit, Chrysler spokesman John Guiniven said the criticism and complaints about the show played no part in his company’s decision to withdraw its commercials. The ads represented about 18% of the show’s sponsorship.

After top Chrysler executives, including board Chairman Lee A. Iacocca, finished what the company called “an exhaustive review” of the show late last week, they decided to withdraw sponsorship.

The reason, Guiniven said, was that the downbeat subject matter of “Amerika” and its intense portrayals just wasn’t an appropriate forum for Chrysler’s patriotic, upbeat “The Pride Is Born–Born in America” commercial campaign.

Let’s not forget the federal government’s loan guarantee for Chrysler back in 1980. Oh, surely there was no pressure from the marbled halls of government to the glass walls of the corporation.

I continue to be amazed at how many people in this culture, and most especially those on the “right”, seem to have completely and totally psychologically surrendered to the government.

These are the phrases I keep hearing:

“The government makes us pay for abortions. We can’t be held responsible for something we are forced to do.”
“I can’t imagine what life will be like if they make us accept Sharia law.”
“ObamaCare is going to force me out of business.”
“I live in Chicago. They won’t let us have guns here.”
“If I want to keep my job, I have to go along with the diversity training crap.”
“I have to keep paying taxes. It’s all tied directly into my bank account. I have no choice.”

I think that people in this culture actually ENJOY being whipped by the government, because it allows them to delude themselves into believing that they bear no responsibility for anything beyond not burning the toast and making certain that the TiVo is set to record the big game. Given this truly effeminate and childish psychological orientation, it is little wonder that the following sentence – seven little words – strikes fear in the hearts of men and causes them to lash out in hatred and eventually violence:

The government can’t make you do anything.

Oh, the implications.

The horrific, horrific implications.

Actually, it’s even worse than that.

NO ONE can make you do anything.

Your employer can’t make you do anything. You can either attend the pro-homosexual, pro-musloid diversity seminar or QUIT YOUR JOB. Your wife can’t make you do anything. Your children can’t make you do anything. You could abandon them tomorrow if you so chose, which is exactly what 90+ percent of black men in the inner-cities have freely chosen to do.

And finally, the ultimate terror. While God COULD force you to do something, because He loves you, He will never, ever force you to do ANYTHING.

As much as you don’t want to believe it, as much as you want to fight it, deny it, and reject it, the inescapable truth of the matter is that you, along with every other human being, are a FREE, SOVEREIGN INDIVIDUAL.

Do I have to pay taxes? Of course not. What are the alternatives? Government confiscation of my assets would be the first alternative. Well, this would simply put me in solidarity with the MF Global customers who have also had their assets confiscated. So be it. The next step would be imprisonment. Fine. So be it. I acknowledge in truth that this is, in fact, the alternative. I do not lie to myself and tell myself that there is NO alternative. You people out there keep saying to yourself that there is NO CHOICE between the government and God because having your assets confiscated or going to prison is “impossible”, and therefore no choice exists.

This is a lie.

There IS a choice, and we are all being called to make that choice, here, now, in this moment.

Some people have said, “I have children. What do you expect me to do?” Well, I suppose I expect you to do exactly what Thomas Jefferson did. Jefferson wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776 when he was 33 years old. Writing and signing the Declaration made Jefferson, along with all of the signers, traitors and seditionists against King George III and the British Empire. This was a capital offense and pushed Jefferson and the rest of the Founding Fathers into the corner of either winning independence or dying at the end of a rope as a war trophy. At the time, his daughter Patsy was three years old. Not only did Jefferson sign the Declaration, he threw himself into the Revolutionary War and became Governor of Virginia. And while all of this was going on, Jefferson had five more children. Jane was born in 1774. A son was born and died within hours in 1777. Mary was born in 1778. Lucy was born in 1780 and died soon thereafter. Lucy Elizabeth was born in 1782. Jefferson’s home, Monticello, was a target of the British, and was in fact captured in 1781 by Cornwallis. Jefferson and his family managed to escape with only minutes to spare after being warned by a young Virginia militiaman. The British then destroyed everything except the main house. All of the crops, livestock and outbuildings were burned or seized.

Questions? The decadent freedom that you enjoy and are getting ready to piss away was largely made possible by a young man who was already financially established and the father of young children, pushing it all in and putting an enormous target on his own back.

Heaven forbid that we should LEARN ANYTHING from history or FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE of those that came before us.

Jefferson, and the rest of the Founders, knew that they had a choice laid out before them. They could either revolt against tyranny or surrender to it. We are facing exactly the same choice right now, except that the tyranny that we are now facing is far, far worse than anything Jefferson and the Founders were facing. King George never tried to tax the Colonists on their mere existence, as ObamaCare does. King George never tried to force the Colonists to embrace and celebrate sexual perversion. King George never tried to force the Colonists to pay for and even participate in abortion. King George never attempted to import and establish the satanic scourge of islam in the Colonies.

We are so far past and beyond the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that the Colonists and Founders experienced and which necessitated the Revolutionary War that they aren’t even visible in the rear-view mirror. I dare say that being a Colonist in 1775 did not, by definition, break eight of the Ten Commandments or put a person is a probable state of mortal sin.

And so back to the core premise: the government can’t make you do anything. There is always an alternative, and at a certain point, the alternative of non-compliance is not only available, it is REQUIRED.

Read the Declaration:

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”

It is our right and our DUTY to throw off this government.

It is not legitimate and does not possess the consent of the governed, and thus has NO AUTHORITY. This is not to say that this government does not have power – yes it still does have power, but it has NO AUTHORITY.

At this point, the only way it can continue to operate is by means of violent coercion, namely property confiscation, imprisonment and execution.

This is YOUR country: thieving, murdering criminals running utterly amok, holding their power only through violent coercion and the threat of violent coercion. And it could all be brought to a screeching halt tomorrow if We The People would just turn that intellectual corner and realize that the unjust laws of an illegitimate government need not and should not be followed.

They have no power over us. We have power over them, because they derive their JUST powers from the consent of the governed. Withdraw the consent, and the power is gone. Anything remaining is therefore, by definition, UNJUST, and thus must be“abolished” and “thrown off”, to use Jefferson’s words.

Of course you can own and carry a gun. You have the God-given right to your life, and the right to protect yourself, your family and your property. No one can ever, ever take that right away from you except YOU. The state can pass as many laws as it wants banning gun ownership and bearing, but every single one of those laws is illegitimate, and thus should not be followed.

How can the government force you to accept Sharia law, or any evil satanic system? Only YOU decide what you do or do not accept. Obama could write an Executive Order tomorrow declaring that the musloid screech to prayer be blasted from loudspeakers in every city and town five times per day, and the only true use or value that Executive Order would have is as toilet paper. Obama can’t make you accept Sharia law any more than he can make you fly like Superman.

ObamaCare can only force you out of business if you COMPLY with it. The government can only force you into mortal sin if you COMPLY and CONSENT. Obama can mandate that we all buy health insurance, and that all insurance policies cover abortion and contraception. And we can all laugh in his face. His fat wife can further mandate that we all eat celery sticks and tofu on Mondays and Thursdays, and we can likewise laugh in her painted-up-thicker-than-a-tranny face. These people have no power over us. They are slack-jawed, carney-trash gutter filth, and nothing more.

Any power they have over us is power that we must specifically consent to give to them. I withdraw my consent.

You got a problem with that, Barry?

Finally, back to the theological aspect of all of this, because that’s how I roll up in here. Look at a Crucifix. What you are seeing in a Crucifix is the stark horror of your own freedom and personal sovereignty. You are free to choose, as is every single being made in the image of God. We are so free that God consents to allowing us to choose to torture and kill Him.

Oh, yes, we always, always have a choice. And now, because we have allowed it, the choice now stands as this: Either choose to spare yourself the wrath of an evil, illegitimate government or choose to scourge and crucify Christ. Pick up the flagellum and lean into Him. Skin Him. Make Him bleed and shake in pain. Then pick up that hammer and those nails and drive them in. Feel the bones in His feet and ankles crunch as you pound that nail in.

And as you’re doing this, look Him in the eye with a big sh**-eating grin on your face. Tell Him how you have no choice, because it’s either this, or you might lose your job, or your 4000 square foot house.

And that’s not even a contest, right?

I mean, who WOULDN’T torture and kill their best friend, brother, father, spouse, creator and savior in order to stay in the good graces of the IRS and keep a job or a pension income?

The choice is yours. It always has been and always will be.

This life will only last for a few more decades at most. What comes after that is eternal.

Choose wisely.

In order for a society to function, there has to be a certain level of trust.  Each day when we leave our homes, we take for granted that most people are not going to attack us for no reason, that there will only be isolated incidents of theft in our community and that rioting and violence are not going to erupt in the streets.   Whether we realize it or not, we depend on the fact that the vast majority of the people around us are going to act in a civilized manner.  Unfortunately, the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted is starting to disappear.  When I was growing up, I was taught that challenging times reveal our true character.  There are many that believe that the declining economy is causing a lot of the chaos that we are now witnessing, but perhaps what is going on is that these challenging economic times are simply revealing the character that has been there all along.  For decades, a “false prosperity” that was fueled by unprecedented amounts of debt has masked a lot of the internal rot that has taken hold in America.  But now that our prosperity is crumbling, our lack of values is becoming startlingly clear.

Greed, corruption and extreme self-centeredness have deeply infected our society.  We see this on Wall Street and in Congress, and we see this among those that are trying to survive on the mean streets of our largest cities.

Our nation is breaking down on every level.  If by some miracle we were able to fix our economy, that would mask our problems for a while, but it would not solve them.

Unfortunately, as I write about nearly every day, there are a whole host of indications that our economy is about to get even worse.  When it does, millions of Americans will become even more desperate, and as we are now seeing all over this country, desperate people do desperate things.

The following are 22 signs that the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted is starting to disappear….

#1 In Detroit, 100 bus drivers recently refused to drive their routes out of fear for their own personal safety.  An article posted on the website of the CBS affiliate in Detroit is quoting the head of the bus drivers union, Henry Gaffney, as saying that the drivers are “scared for their lives”….

“Our drivers are scared, they’re scared for their lives. This has been an ongoing situation about security. I think yesterday kind of just topped it off, when one of my drivers was beat up by some teenagers down in the middle of Rosa Parks and it took the police almost 30 minutes to get there, in downtown Detroit,” said Gaffney.

#2 In Wilmington, Delaware recently, a man offered to help someone carry a television down the street, but quickly realized that it was his own television which had just been stolen out of his house….

A Wilmington resident who stopped home for lunch about noon today saw a man carrying a flat screen TV down the street and asked the man if he needed help.

He then recognized the television as his own, looked up and saw the door to his home ajar, said Master Sgt. Adam Ringle.

#3 Shocking video has surfaced of a young thug walking up to a defenseless elderly man in a Chicago subway station and knocking him out cold.  In the video, the friends of the young man are cheering him on and laughing at how easy it was to knock the old man out cold.

#4 Beating up old people for no reason seems to be catching on all over the country.  Just check out the following report from a recent article posted on philly.com….

AN 84-YEAR-OLD ex-university official savagely attacked by four young punks during a walk in Wissahickon Valley Park earlier this week theorizes that the beating he endured was a cruel game of “get the old geezer.”

Jim Shea, a former vice president of university relations for Temple, from 1968 to 1983, walks up to five miles on Forbidden Drive, in Fairmount Park, three times a week, but that type of stamina wasn’t enough to stave off the lowlifes who not only beat him bloody, but dealt a blow to one of the things he holds most dear – his pride.

#5 All over the United States, police are wailing on Occupy Wall Street protesters with clubs and liberally using pepper spray on them.  Whatever you may think of the Occupy Wall Street protests, the reality is that this is not a sign that things are becoming “more stable” in America.  You can see video of one very disturbing confrontation right here.

#6 Clashes between police and protesters in Oakland, California recently became so violent that at one point the streets of Oakland resembled a war zone.

#7 Unfortunately, as the American people become increasingly frustrated with out system many of them are actually starting to consider violence as a solution.  According to one recent survey, 31 percent of all Occupy Wall Street protesters “would support violence to advance their agenda”.

#8 In New York recently, a confrontation between two female customers and a frustrated cashier ended with the cashier beating the living daylights out of them with a metal rod.  The following is how a local CBS affiliate in New York described this incident….

It appeared to have started when two female customers argued and yelled obscenities at the cashier when he questioned a $50 bill they gave him.

One of the female customers then slapped the cashier. A woman is then seen jumping over the counter while the other woman goes behind the register.

That’s when the cashier can be seen on the video disappearing into the back of the fast-food restaurant. He comes back with a metal rod and begins hitting the women.

#9 These days, many Americans are so “on edge” that just about anything will make them snap.  For example, a 60-year-old woman in New Mexico recently repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend because she thought that he was cheating during a game of Monopoly.

#10 If you thought that the above example was crazy, just check out what one man down in Georgia did recently.  He actually firebombed a Taco Bell because they did not put enough meat in his Chalupa.

#11 In Cleveland last week, a 49-year-old man was sent to the hospital after a poll monitor working for the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections tried to bite his nose off.

#12 Not only do TSA agents make us feel like dehumanized cattle as we go through airport security, some of them are evening making fun of us at the same time.  For example, one TSA agent recently scribbled “GET YOUR FREAK ON GIRL” on a TSA inspection notice after discovering a sex toy in the luggage of one female traveler.

#13 Identity theft is rising to very alarming levels all over the United States.  For example, a recent article in the Palm Beach Post described what has been going on down in Florida this year….

In the first half of this year, the Federal Trade Commission received more than 20,000 complaints from Floridians whose identities had been stolen — nearly as many as in all of 2010. More than half of those reporting their Social Security numbers or other personal information had been ripped off and used to commit fraud or theft were in South Florida, with heavy concentrations in parts of Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Hallandale Beach.

“That kind of increase is really shocking,” said Vance Luce, deputy special agent in charge of the U.S. Secret Service in South Florida, which investigates identity theft and financial crimes. “The fact that it’s on the upturn doesn’t surprise me at all, but that’s pretty alarming.”

#14 In the Seattle area, an elderly couple in their eighties was recently brutally attacked by a 31-year-old man armed with a crossbow and a hatchet.  The following description of this brutal crime comes from King 5 News….

Prosecutors say 31-year-old John Chase was walking down the highway when he saw Ralph Aldrich, 88, in his back yard. Detectives say Chase shot and killed Aldrich with a crossbow and then went inside the home and repeatedly hit 83-year-old June Aldrich with a hatchet.

#18 Most Americans don’t realize this, but all over the U.S. livestock is being stolen from ranchers in unprecedented numbers.  The following is from a recent Associated Press article….

While the brazenness may be unusual, the theft isn’t. High beef prices have made cattle attractive as a quick score for people struggling in the sluggish economy, and other livestock are being taken too. Six thousand lambs were stolen from a feedlot in Texas, and nearly 1,000 hogs have been stolen in recent weeks from farms in Iowa and Minnesota. The thefts add up to millions of dollars in losses for U.S. ranches.

Authorities say today’s thieves are sophisticated compared to the horseback bandits of the rugged Old West. They pull up livestock trailers in the middle of the night and know how to coax the animals inside. Investigators suspect it’s then a quick trip across state lines to sell the animals at auction barns.

#19 At this point, thieves are becoming so bold that they will steal literally anything that they are able to cart away.  For example, in the San Francisco area a while back thieves actually stole a copper bell that weighs 2.7 tons.

#20 According to the FBI, the number of gang members in the United States has increased by a staggering 40 percent since 2009.  Right now, there are 1.4 million gang members terrorizing citizens on the streets of America.

#21 Down in Miami, thieves have become so bold that they have actually been breaking into parked police cruisers and stealing guns and ammo out of them.  Many of those guns undoubtedly are ending up in the hands of gangs members.

Two young Milwaukee women were arrested this week after an 18-year-old Arizona man–who traveled to Wisconsin by bus after meeting one of the suspects online–told cops that he was held captive in the duo’s apartment for two days and slashed and stabbed more than 300 times as part of an apparent satanic sex ritual.

Anger and frustration are growing to unprecedented levels in this country, and all of this anger and frustration is manifesting in thousands of different ways.

What do horror movies, the fable “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and elections have in common?

In each one, a new and unexpected stimulus — that is, one that hasn’t happened before, so people can’t use their memories and have to actually think analytically — reveals the depths and breadth of human stupidity.

A good horror movie will make you see that not only are some people stupid, but most are, and it’s not stupid like a ewe but a kind of stupidity derived from being oblivious to the world around them. They can’t think outside the box, or even outside the routine.

In “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” a powerful man deludes himself and everyone else follows his lead. At the end of the story, it takes a child who is not yet socialized to point out the obvious, and suddenly everyone else agrees.

Stupidity is a pervasive force in our society. Almost every instant of our day is touched by stupidity:

• Let’s wait in traffic. Every morning and evening, all the able-bodied adults get in their cars and sit around in traffic for an hour. This makes them ragingly mad. However, they’re equally fond of assuring us there is no other way.
• Dumb product design. You’re telling me that Steve Jobs is the last human being capable of making white laptops and products that show some thought at all was put into the user experience? Or that most cars are disposable junk, and you need a Mercedes-Benz to have a reliable one? It seems that most products are poorly designed and yet few object.
• Moronic entertainment. If only they made movies that addressed interesting struggles in life. Instead, you get cartoon epics of good versus evil, and lots of tear-drenched drama. Surely we’re better than this.
• Architecture. I know! Let’s put the bathroom next to the entrance to the hallway and make it cramped, ill-ventilated and prone to echoing. That’s brilliant. There are other human stunners like awkward rooms and confusing layouts that are more common than not.
• Leadership. We are accustomed to making our leaders compromise, committee-ize and tolerate so much insanity that the only people who take the jobs are masochists and sociopaths. As a result, they’re not particularly competent. We suffer more stupidity.

The list could go on, but why bore ourselves? We are soaked in stupidity. It has two causes.

First, oblivion reigns. Because our society has decided everyone is equal, we have to tolerate low levels of insanity as if they were normal. Our brains switch off at this paradoxical and illogical proposition.

As a result, we are accustomed to going through life while not considering anything around us, because all there is to see is stupidity. We have become obliviots who march on like drunk people or zombies, determined to ignore everything but our immediate compensation for putting up with this mess.

Second, many people are biologically stupid. If your ancestors were turnip-pickers, pick-pockets or other people lacking in differentiation from the herd, you are probably equipped to be just like them and it is pretense to think otherwise. Intelligence and other traits are heritable.

However, we can’t come out and say that human intelligence varies widely. That conflicts with our mythos that everyone is equal and that just be “working hard” an idiot can become a productive member of society. To perpetuate this illusion, we tolerate stupidity and even praise it.

The end result is a numb, dumb and glum society of bitter people.

“If only I was walking down a tree-lined street, in a place where they locked up their criminals for good, surrounded by excellent architecture and intelligent people, as a member of a species that will explore the stars without committing ecocide on its home planet,” they lament. “Instead, I’m a modern drone marching down a dirty smoky city street lined with pick-pockets and idiots, about to go to some job where 90% of my time is waiting on idiots, and then to go home to watch idiots on TV, eat bad food and commiserate with family members over the idiots they had to endure today.”

When we talk about moral choices, not all of them are purely personal. Many are decisions about how we, as those who were alive now, are going to influence our future. We could choose stupidity, or we could choose another way. It’s really up to us.

When we think of class warfare, we think of a political effort to pit the poor against the rich.  The premise is that someone who has more than you is your enemy, which I suppose would be correct if you intend to satisfy your own needs by means of “might makes right” — by taking from them through force or coercion.

But, assuming that both you and he are capable of producing, free trade holds that someone who has more than you should be your friend.  They say that you can’t get a job from a poor person, and it’s hard to imagine a better relationship with a rich person than one which makes both of you richer.  It’s certainly more productive than a relationship which seeks to make you richer by making him poorer.

An interviewer once asked Ayn Rand if it was okay for some men to have caviar while other men want for bread.  (For some reason, such questions seem more valid with a Russian flavor.)  If we know that caviar costs a hundred times as much as bread, then we can imagine that a hundred poorer men could buy bread with the money a single rich man might spend on caviar.

But money, bread, caviar – even men – do not really work this way.  A price is a balancing point between supply and demand.  While bread and caviar have their own balancing points — prices – which can be compared to each other, there is no direct translation between bread and caviar themselves.

The price of bread is set by how much bread there is, and a poor man goes hugry because there isn’t enough bread for everyone to get their fill.  The price of caviar is set by how much caviar there is, and most of us must go without because there is only enough for some men to get their fill.  The high price of caviar is the mechanism that enforces this reality.More importantly, eating less caviar does not create more bread.  This is important because when one man eats caviar instead of bread, he does not somehow limit poorer men’s access to bread.  However, the rich man’s consumption of caviar is often (incorrectly) portrayed as decadent in light of how many men don’t even have bread.  That fallacy is at the root of much leftist thinking.Real class warfare’s not bread and caviar.  And when we look more closely at it, we see something startling about who’s at war with whom.

Consider the middle class family: An air-conditioned house, two cars, a refrigerator, a couple TVs, some cell phones.  Cable or maybe satellite service, ample clothing and food.  Even special food for their pets.

And who is a poor person?  Well a poor person is not someone who doesn’t have caviar — he’s someone who doesn’t have bread.  A poor person is not somebody who isn’t rich, he’s somebody who isn’t even middle-class.  A poor person is someone who wants for the things the middle class has.  You’re not poor if you don’t have a Cadillac; you’re poor if you don’t have a car.

Prices are a balancing point between supply and demand, necessary because demand is always greater than supply.  A price is set at the level where products are being consumed at the same rate at which they’re being produced.  Set prices too high, and goods accumulate on shelves.  Set them too low, and shelves go bare until the next shipment arrives.  This is basic economics.  Consumers are in competition for goods, and a price is something that discourages consumers until there are just as many people consuming as there are goods being produced.

The poor, then, are people who are losing the competition with the middle class.  Think about it: Society never says, “This poor man needs a Learjet.”  You wouldn’t raise money to help the family down the street because it can’t afford caviar.  The poor aren’t in trouble because they don’t have money — but they are in trouble if they can’t get bread.  And you don’t have to look in the rich man’s pantry to see where the bread is actually going.  Poor people don’t go without because rich people have a lot of money; they go without because the middle class buy up all of the goods.

So while we think of class warfare as a struggle between rich and poor, it’s really a struggle between the poor and the middle class.  The rich are just scapegoats — convenient scapegoats, since they do happen to have wealth.  Class warfare is based on the notion that we can settle a dispute over goods, between the poor and the middle class, by simply taking wealth from the rich – the same wealth which is often the basis of middle class jobs.

What’s surprising is that this is simply not that complicated.  It’s easy to get hung up on money, and to see poverty as “a shortage of money.”  But it’s not particularly difficult to see the real issue.  The problem is that there’s an entire movement of politically-motivated people who need you thinking about it in a certain way in order to advance their own agenda.  And while it may be beneficial for them if they can convince you to see things their way, it won’t necessarily help you  — or the poor, for that matter.

Truly solving problems starts with truly understanding them.  And the people who promise to solve the most problems never seem to explain them truthfully.

There are cheats and there are fools.  I can’t do anything about the cheats — they’re going to lie to you forever.  But maybe together we can do something about the foolishness.

the “poor”

If you haven’t already read Robert Rector’s excellent Heritage Foundation backgrounder on poverty, please give it a look.  He really nails it.

For most Americans, the word “poverty” suggests destitution: an inability to provide a family with nutritious food, clothing, and reasonable shelter. But only a small number of the 37 million persons classified as “poor” by the Census Bureau fit that description.

In other words, most Americans have no clue what actual poverty is.  Poverty comes with its own language — starvation, cholera, malaria — words that aren’t used in America today.  Most Americans have never even seen any of the horrors associated with true, abject poverty.  Just remember, when libs refer to “poverty,” the word was chosen for specific images they’re trying to evoke in your mind.  But the living standard of all but the very poorest Americans is considerably better than that — better, in fact, than most of the middle class of the world.  Our poor are still rich for human beings.

Today, the expenditures per person of the lowest-income one-fifth (or quintile) of households equal those of the median American household in the early 1970s, after adjusting for inflation.

This is so important!  The poor do not keep getting poorer — our poor are not just richer than the global middle class, they are even wealthier than our own middle class of only thirty years ago.  Microwave ovens, cell phones, cars with computers, airbags and anti-lock brakes.  Color TV, home video, access to resources like the internet.  These were not just luxuries — in my own lifetime many of them were science fiction.  Now they are all part of everyday life — even for our poor.

Think back thirty years, and try to imagine all the things the stupid libs would be describing as “rights,” demanding that government guarantee for all.  I’m pretty sure that microwave ovens, cell phones and color TVs were not on the list, but healthcare and higher education probably were.

Now in 2009, when we’re being told how important it is that healthcare and education be given to the poor, I ask: Why they can’t buy those things themselves?  If you ask me, the poor have squandered their opportunities to buy these essentials by instead buying microwave ovens, cell phones and TVs.  I think we should demand that they surrender those luxuries until they’ve secured their own healthcare and education, but lo and behold, suddenly those luxuries have become ”rights” as well.

Overall, the typical American defined as poor by the government has a car, air conditioning, a refrigerator, a stove, a clothes washer and dryer, and a microwave. He has two color televisions, cable or satellite TV reception, a VCR or DVD player, and a stereo. He is able to obtain medical care. His home is in good repair and is not overcrowded. By his own report, his family is not hungry and he had sufficient funds in the past year to meet his family’s essential needs. While this individual’s life is not opulent, it is equally far from the popular images of dire poverty conveyed by the press, liberal activists, and politicians.

The fact is that poverty is no longer a material condition of being impoverished.  Today, it is a political condition of simply not being adequately wealthy for the age Americans live in.  And the debate between the left and the right is not about how unwealthy our “poor” need to be; it is about what decade our poor really need to be living in.  As Rector points out, our poor are doing quite well compared to the middle class of the 1970s.  Go just a few decades further back, and our poor are downright rich.

And all the wealth and luxuries that have become “rights” between any point in the past and now? Those were just shifts in priorities, and the real reason other “rights” have gone unmet.  Do you see someone without healthcare or education?  Because I see someone who has a cell phone, cable, a car, a private apartment — or who even owns their own home — instead of buying health insurance or tuition.  Rights are not being deprived; rather, poor choices are being made.

Here’s the most important part:

While real material hardship certainly does occur, it is limited in scope and severity.

And my problem with this is the question of how much more we could be doing for the very few who are genuinely needy, if only our social programs weren’t clogged up by the not-so-poor who are simply structuring their lives so as to receive a handout.  How much better off could the few truly poor be, if only we weren’t wasting our goodwill on our garden variety “politically” poor?

As long as it pays to be poor, people will strive to achieve it.  Don’t be so foolish as to think there aren’t people carefully arranging their affairs to qualify for welfare they don’t need, at the same time rejecting freedom they simply don’t use.  Thiscosts us all — but it costs the poor the most.

That’s the John Galt Line.

Occupy DC Zombies raid and attack conservative “Defending American Dream Summit”.

As we have been warning would happen – Obama’s Army, the Useful Idiots and the Marxist Thugs decided to get violent.

They chose to attack the Conservative “Defending America Summit” in Washington D.C. this weekend.  As the video shows, no one was safe.  not families with kids, not elderly women – no one the mob decided they had a right to attack.

This is just the beginning, and this is exactly what Obama and the Marxist thugs have been orchestrating and stoking following in the footsteps of the Blackshirts and Brownshirts of last century.

I have been warning that we are in for a repeat of the French Terror and Revolution of the 1790′s.  Anyone and everyone that was PERCEIVED or simply ACCUSED of having wealth, or food, or station – was butchered like cattle, guillotined in public.  Those mobs could not satiate their appetite for blood, and neither will this mob Obama is inciting.

I know, I know, some of you in law enforcement probably hate me plenty.  After all, I’ve run a number of pictures and videos of you committing acts that were I to do the same thing you’d haul my ass off in irons.

You should be in jail for those acts, and that’s a fact.

But before you go off and commit another felony, er, “fire another rubber bullet at a cameraman“, I want you to step back for just a minute and ponder this.

Then I want you to fact-check it, because I’m right and I’m offering to save your (financial) ass and I don’t even want anything from you for the favor.

You’ve been robbed just like the rest of the 99%.

Specifically: Your pensions are not going to be paid.

Got that?  They’re NOT going to be paid.

Why am I sure of this?  Because they can’t be paid.  It is mathematically impossible for you to get the money and health care you were promised.  You were lied to by the very people who now “order” you to go shoot rubber bullets at peaceful people wielding….. cameras.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen in blue: You are getting screwed too, and you probably don’t realize it at this point.

But you will.

State and local governments have less than one-fifth of the funds to maintain the infrastructure that exists today.

They not only lied to you, they’ve lied to everyone else in our communities as well.

About a year and a half ago at a “Tea Party” event we had some political speakers trying to stump up votes for themselves.  They were running for county commission – the people who make the decisions for the local area.  You probably know your county commissioners by name.

I stuck my hand up at one point and asked “When am I going to own my house?“

There was an awkward silence; the candidate didn’t understand the question.  He thought I was talking about having trouble paying my mortgage, of course.

I wasn’t: I was talking about the fact that if I stop paying property tax at any point I get evicted by the county.  In effect I do not own my house; I rent it from the county.

The consternation was considerable, but this is the point you see: The usual means of financing things like the road you drive your cop car on is through a bond issue that has a maturity longer than the road will last, and what’s worse is that the only revenue raised during that time pays just the interest!

Then the road needs repaved, and… we float another bond, with the first one still outstanding.

I know, you folks in the PD think I’m kidding.  The local folks would never screw you like that, right?  After all, you keep the community “safe”.

You’re wrong.  They not only would, they already have.  A local example from my area will make this clear.  Our local School Board asked for a half-cent sales tax increase to pay for roof and refrigerator replacements in the schools.  Sounds ordinary, right?

Well, it’s not.  See, The Board had already taken the money they should have put aside for this and blown it on other things.  How do we know this?  Because roofs and refrigerators have known design lives — you know this from your own house!  Your refer wears out and so does your roof.  So you should be saving 1/20th (or whatever) of the cost of a new roof or refer every year; this way in the 20th year you have the money to pay for the replacement.

Instead of doing that the School Board blew the money on something else – with these known costs and exposures in the future — then cried poor mouth when the inevitable happened.

Isolated incident?  No.  Look at the Mid-Bay Bridge here in Niceville.  Or if you wish the Garcon Point Bridge over near Pensacola.  Same situation; the latter already has effectively defaulted, the former inevitably will, as it too cannot cover the bond issues in principal and interest off the bridge tolls.  There’s no rational projection of traffic levels that will allow it to do so and yet in the former case they’re still spending more money they don’t have extending the bridge access road!

The same is true of your pensions.

You’re not going to get them unless you’re scheduled to retire in the next couple of years.  Down the road this is a certainty, because these pension funds are assuming 8% or so net returns.  That’s idiotic; the stock market has made a grand total of nothing over the last decade, yet at an 8% return it should have increased in value by 115%!

You’re going to get stiffed.

I guarantee it.

Some of you will retort “but we’re guaranteed that money by our state constitution!”  My answer is simple: There is no way that taxes can rise to a sufficient degree to pay for these promises.  It’s simply not possible for the people to pay that much in tax, and thus they won’t.

So why are you working for people who are financially raping you?  They’re lying – you’re not going to get paid what you were promised as it is mathematically impossible just as those bond issues will never get paid off as they’re effectively “interest only” loans that are for a longer duration than the alleged “improvement” will last!  The entire scheme on the bonds works so long as they can be “rolled” at maturity.  When they can’t – and eventually the lenders will refuse to stack more debt upon bad debt – the entire game comes apart.

Our entire economy at the Federal, State and Local government levels is a gigantic series of Ponzi schemes in this regard.  Medicare is the worst of all; between it and Social Security they have a forward liability of close to $100 trillion dollars, or more than six times the size of the entire economy.  If you have allegiance to The Constitution and Rule of Law you should be arresting the politicians and banksters, not the people.

If your allegiance is simply to your own self-interest you should walk off the job, because no police or firefighters union can make money appear that doesn’t exist, and your promised funds do not exist.

I don’t expect you to believe me.  Go pull the numbers on your favorite bond-financed “street improvement” project or similar item in your area.  Get the design life of that improvement and figure out the tax money that will fund payment of the debt.  I’m willing to bet that if you randomly pick on ten projects of this sort that the vast majority of them have incomplete and many will have no coverage of the principal, which means the debt will never go away — it will get ever-larger until it inevitably consumes all funding, making the payment of your promised benefits impossible.

Do your own diligence, ask your own questions.  Demand answers in facts and figures, not “oh you’ll get your money.”  Make them prove it — and if they can’t (trust me — you’ll find that they can’t) you might want to consider exactly what you’re doing out there every day with that rubber-round-stuffed shotgun.

You’re making an effort toward your own family’s financial destruction!

Then cross the lines or, if you just can’t….. simply walk off.

File today’s post under “Divide and Conquer” with another advance warning to watch the videos before they’re banned by youtube.

Some of you with a background in psychology and the social sciences (or just a lot of daytime TV) might be familiar with the Jane Elliot’s Brown vs Blue eyes exercise which she started in a classroom beginning in the late 1960s. I could go off on a long tangent how doing the same thing today would get a teacher fired and the school sued in a New York minute. However, timing is everything and the original teacher who was able to shrug off the need for an IRB was able to make a long career out of repeating this stunt. When this is replayed on TV today, the thing of most interest to casual observers is how easily a group of adults can be divided and polarized. What I find more interesting, though, is how easily the same ruse is used again and again over the past 4 decades within the same country. There is no generational memory. I remember first seeing a video tape of this technique from the Phil Donahue show which was probably recorded in the early 1980s. However, it has been used on other shows in the 1990s and more recently on a college campus. I’ve posted some segments from youtube.

I like the stated premise behind the motivation for doing these exercises which is to use a ridiculous topical difference to illustrate the dangers of racism, negative group dynamics, etc. I’m definitely one of those people who believe in each person’s individual merits, content of character, goodness of heart and spirit and all that. One of my concerns is not only does that lack of memory thing keep creeping back every 15 years, but many longstanding perceived stereotypes still remain hidden not far beneath the surface. However, I don’t think old racism will be a major factor in dividing America in the future. It will remain a tool to some extent, but the key method for dividing the American people will be to accentuate the differences in how they think.

Let me take this a bit farther. Not long ago how one thought about the color of skin was the major definer and divider. (That for the most part has been resolved for the majority of people). Since then, ways of thinking and how they divide people have moved on to a long list of other concepts: abortion, gun control, sexual expression, religious opinions in public, etc. The focal points for discussion and debate have often involve combinations of concrete and abstract topics. Over time, though, this has become increasingly abstract with the result that people have more difficulty seeing eye to eye across the spectrum. Complete resolutions palatable to all parties will not be found. In reality they can’t be.

When these individual differences reach heightened levels between different groups, problems during public discussions soon follow. Since lasting resolutions can’t be found in the real world, one group will come to believe that the perception of reality by the other group is the problem. In the meantime, the gears in the old public dispute resolution mechanism either bind due to deadlock or slip too much as the points move father apart from disengagement. Either way, without careful maintenance and thoughtful correction, the machine which once produced useful civilized discourse will no longer function.

When one or more of the many sides involved in the stoppage proclaims that the “time for talk has come to an end”, that will be the signal that hope has been lost for the machine. Next, the tools that had maintained the machine are first used to smash it to bits before being turned into weapons on the old operators. Those who want to defend the old machine or who think differently from the main group about what is needed to replace it are among the first victims. Differences in thought alone will define who is in or out of the ascending dominant group. The knowledge and training required to perform violence on the population is actually the simplest part of the entire process –the known methods are older than recorded history.

Interesting to note that this experiment involving college students in California in 1971 was shut down after only 6 days. Even in the capital of the counter-culture, free love, new independent thought, and all that, I guess not much had really changed when it came to human psychology.

On an side: do you remember when TV Programming was still called TV Programming by the TV Programmers? Every wonder why they don’t call it that in public anymore? Might be too much of a view behind the curtain.

What I will end with today is something regarding Rwanda –a nation where contrived differences were turned into genocide. That country’s mass media was used to incite the masses.

The Khmer Rouge used plastic bags to suffocate a large number of their fellow countrymen. Passive methods of starvation, disease, etc have also been effective tools for mass-murderers throughout history. The training on how to kill is the easiest part after the longer more complicated process of indoctrination. But, as you’ve learned today that indoctrination process doesn’t take so long to accomplish when the conditions are ripe.

It does not take a genius to gather that the Israeli aggression towards Iran would endanger every living species on this planet. Devastatingly enough, our Western governments do nothing to stop the Jewish State. That should not take us by surprise: our politicians are largely funded and vetted by Israeli lobbies that openly support attack on Iran.

 

Here in Britain Defence Secretary Liam Fox had to resign two weeks ago when it became clear that he was “breaching ministerial laws”. The British press went out of its way to reduce the issue of his resignation into just another gay-ish mini scandal. But we actually have strong reason to believe that Fox was working intensively for Israel. He was enthusiastically advocating Israeli interests such as a unilateral attack on Iran. Together with his best friend Adam Werritty, he was also funded by the Israeli lobby. We know also that Fox and his flatmate Werritty were in direct contact with Mossad, and were even warned by MI6 about it.

 

But Fox was not alone: with 80% of our leading party’s MP’s being Conservative Friends Of Israel’s (CFI) members, we have good reason to believe that treachery is now institutional amongst UK elected politicians.

 

As we brace ourselves while learning from the Israeli press about the IAF’s final preparations ahead for an attack on Iran’s nuclear plants, I would like to share with you a short passage from The Wandering Who.

 

In the following extract, I explore the exact genocidal scenario that Israeli pilots are now training to accomplish, in these very days. The Jewish State and its lobbies are the greatest threat to world peace. If we want to save ourselves, there is no other way of doing so than looking closely into Jewish, Israeli and Zionist culture, identity and ideology. There is no other way of doing so than scrutinising Israel’s unique and relentless attitude towards lobbying.

The issues we are dealing with here are not solely political they are actually deeply philosophical, psychological and sociological — and it is also about life and death.

One of the most important steps that we could take to bring prosperity back to America would be to nationalize the Federal Reserve.  Doing so would allow the federal government to quit borrowing money, dramatically reduce taxes and eventually pay off the entire U.S. national debt.  Instead of inheriting the largest debt in the history of the world, future generations would actually have a chance at economic prosperity because they would not be forced to pay off the horrific debt of previous generations.  The Federal Reserve is a perpetual debt machine, it has almost completely destroyed the value of the U.S. dollar and it has an absolutely nightmarish track record of incompetence.  There are no good reasons to keep the status quo.  Our current debt-based monetary system will inevitably lead to a complete and total economic collapse.  We desperately need to make a change while we still can.  As you will see below, there are a ton of good reasons why we should nationalize the Federal Reserve.

Right now, most Americans believe that the Federal Reserve is actually an agency of the federal government.  But that is simply not the case.  The truth is that the Federal Reserve is about as “federal” as Federal Express is.

The Federal Reserve openly admits as much.  For example, in defending itself against a Bloomberg request for information under the Freedom of Information Act, the Federal Reserve stated in court that it was “not an agency” of the U.S. government and therefore not subject to the Freedom of Information Act.

So who owns the Federal Reserve?

As the Federal Reserve’s own website describes, it is the member banks that own it….

The twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks, which were established by Congress as the operating arms of the nation’s central banking system, are organized much like private corporations–possibly leading to some confusion about “ownership.” For example, the Reserve Banks issue shares of stock to member banks. However, owning Reserve Bank stock is quite different from owning stock in a private company. The Reserve Banks are not operated for profit, and ownership of a certain amount of stock is, by law, a condition of membership in the System. The stock may not be sold, traded, or pledged as security for a loan; dividends are, by law, 6 percent per year.

The debt-based monetary system established by the Federal Reserve has greatly enriched the big banks and the people that own them.  This has been at the expense of the American people.

A private central bank should not issue our currency, set interest rates and run our economy.  Rather, we need to return control over the currency to the American people where it belongs.

The following are 14 reasons why we should nationalize the Federal Reserve….

#1 The U.S. Constitution says that the federal government is the one that should be issuing our money.

In particular, according to Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, it is the U.S. Congress that has been given the responsibility to “coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures”.

#2 Our current debt-based monetary system is a perpetual debt machine.  It is absolutely imperative that we nationalize the Federal Reserve and begin to issue debt-free money.

In a previous article about money and debt, I explained how more government debt is created whenever the U.S. government puts more money into circulation….

When the government wants more money, the U.S. government swaps U.S. Treasury bonds for “Federal Reserve notes”, thus creating more government debt.  Usually the money isn’t even printed up – most of the time it is just electronically credited to the government.  The Federal Reserve creates these “Federal Reserve notes” out of thin air.  These Federal Reserve notes are backed by nothing and have no intrinsic value of their own.

This process creates a huge problem.  When each new dollar is created, the interest owed by the federal government on that new dollar is not also created at the same time.

Therefore, more debt is actually created than the amount of money that the federal government receives from the Federal Reserve.

This is a Ponzi scheme that is designed to drain wealth from the American people and transfer it to the banking system.

This is why I call the Federal Reserve system a perpetual debt machine.  Today, the U.S. national debt is more than 5,000 times larger than it was 100 years ago.

Back in 1910, prior to the passage of the Federal Reserve Act, the national debt was only about $2.6 billion.

By going to a system of debt-free money, the U.S. government would never have to borrow a single dollar ever again.

#3 Our current debt-based monetary system requires very high personal income taxes to pay for it.  It is no accident that the personal income tax was introduced at about the same time that the Federal Reserve system came into existence.

If we nationalized the Federal Reserve and capped federal government spending at a reasonable percentage of GDP, it would be entirely possible to massively cut taxes and still keep our promises regarding Social Security and other important social programs at the same time.

I believe that eventually the entire personal income tax system could be completely wiped out and the IRS could be totally shut down.  This would save our economy billions upon billions of dollars in income tax compliance costs.

However, as an initial first step, I believe that we should eliminate all payroll taxes, all “self-employment taxes” and all taxes on the first $100,000 earned by every American.

This would provide much needed relief to the millions of poor and middle income families that have been hurt so badly by this economic downturn.

Also, I believe that we could instantly reduce the corporate tax rate to levels that would be competitive with the rest of the world, while closing corporate tax loopholes at the same time.  This would remove the temptation for companies to leave the United States in order to escape our brutally high corporate tax rates.

Yes, the proposals above would definitely cut taxes.

So where would we make up the difference?

Well, the U.S. Constitution provides one clue.  According to Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. Congress has the right to impose “duties, imposts and excises” on goods sold in this country.

For way too long, big corporations have been taking advantage of sweatshops in the third world.  For way too long, other nations have used predatory trade practices to take unfair advantage of us.  For way too long, we have allowed nations with horrific human rights records to ship their goods into our country for free.

Well, we need to bring that to an end.  By raising tariffs we would raise money for the federal government and we could potentially start to reverse the flow of jobs and businesses that have been leaving this country.

Access to the U.S. market is a privilege, not a right.  High tariffs would be imposed on goods from any country that allows slave labor wages to be paid.  Very high tariffs would be imposed on goods from any country that is using predatory trade practices against us.  Extremely high tariffs would be imposed on any nation that does not respect basic human rights.

However, please keep in mind that none of this would work if we did not nationalize the Federal Reserve.  The tax cuts proposed above would be suicidal under our current debt-based monetary system.  But if we nationalize the Fed, we really could do this.  It may sound crazy, but it really would work.

#4 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, there would be no more budget deficits.  If the federal government was a bit short one year, it would just print up a little bit of extra money in order to make up the difference.

It would also be very important to cap federal government spending as a percentage of GDP so that we don’t have crazy Congress critters creating a lot of inflation by spending us into oblivion.

Just because we would be adopting a debt-free monetary system does not mean that we could throw spending discipline out the window.  Rather, it would actually become more important than ever.

#5 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, we would instantly reduce the national debt by 1.6 trillion dollars.  That is the amount that is currently on the balance sheet of the Federal Reserve.  The Federal Reserve just created this money out of thin air anyway, so it was never their money to begin with.  Some members of Congress have already proposed cancelling the debt held by the Federal Reserve, and it is a great idea.

#6 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, we could eventually get rid of the entire national debt.

Under our current system, the U.S. national debt will never, ever be paid off.  We are 15 trillion dollars in debt, and at this point we add more than a trillion dollars to that number every year.

As I have written about previously, if the federal government began right at this moment to repay the U.S. national debt at a rate of one dollar per second, it would take over 440,000 years to pay off the national debt.

But under our current system we are not paying it off.  Rather we keep piling up more debt at an astounding pace.

In a system of debt-free money, there would be no more budget deficits, and we could actually start slowly paying off the national debt with newly issued “United States money”.

This would have to be done very slowly so as to not shock the financial system, but it could be done.  As U.S. debt becomes due, a small percentage of it could be retired each year.

It is entirely conceivable that within 30 to 40 years we could pay it off entirely without causing tremendous damage to the financial system.

#7 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, we will eventually totally eliminate the interest on the national debt.  Most Americans don’t understand this, but each year we spend hundreds of billions of dollars just on interest on the national debt.  For example, the U.S. government spent over 454 billion dollars on interest on the national debt during fiscal year 2011.

Under a debt-free monetary system, that number would eventually go to zero.  That would save the federal government a ton of money.

#8 While there is certainly a danger that we would have inflation under a debt-free monetary system, the reality is that we are absolutely guaranteed inflation under the Federal Reserve system.

Most Americans believe that inflation is a fact of life, but the sad truth is that the United States has only had a major, ongoing problem with inflation since the Federal Reserve was created back in 1913.

Sadly, the U.S. dollar has lost well over 95 percent of its value since the Federal Reserve was created.

So, yes, there would be a need for monetary discipline under a debt-free monetary system, but it would be hard to do worse than the Federal Reserve has already been doing.

#9 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, we would eliminate all of the financial bubbles that the Federal Reserve has been creating.

For example, there would not have been such a bad housing crash if the Federal Reserve had not created such perfect conditions for a housing bubble in the first place.

We should eliminate the Federal Reserve and allow the market to set interest rates.  Having a central authority that sets interest rates is just simply wrong and it creates all sorts of problems.

#10 The Federal Reserve has not been doing a good job.

In case anyone has not noticed, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has a very long track record of incompetence.  Nearly every major judgment that he has made since taking over that position has been dead wrong.

We are always told that we need someone to run the economy and that the Fed is there to keep depressions from happening.

Well, the truth is that the Fed actually greatly contributed to the Great Depression and it was at least partly responsible for the financial crash of 2008.

Now we are right on the verge of yet another massive financial implosion.

If someone keeps wrecking your car, you don’t let them keep driving it, do you?

#11 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, we could potentially transition to “sound money” at some point.

There is great debate about this of course.  But it is a debate that we need to have.

But before we go to “hard money” we need to do something about this horrific debt that we have piled up for future generations first.  We simply cannot lock this debt in and expect them to pay for our mistakes.

We made this mess, so we need to clean it up.

Going to a debt-free monetary system would allow us to do that.

#12 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, our local banks will have much more freedom.  Most Americans simply do not understand just how much power the Federal Reserve actually has over our local banks.

For example, just last year Federal Reserve officials walked into one bank in Oklahoma and demanded that they take down all the Bible verses and all the Christmas buttons that the bank had been displaying.

#13 If we nationalize the Federal Reserve, we won’t have trillions of dollars of secret loans being made to big financial institutions on Wall Street and in foreign countries.

Most Americans don’t realize this, but the Federal Reserve made $16.1 trillion in secret loans to their friends during the last financial crisis.

Meanwhile, hundreds of small banks were left out in the cold and the American people got no help.

This is rampant corruption and it needs to be stopped.

#14 The Federal Reserve needs to be nationalized because it is an unelected, unaccountable “fourth branch of government” that has gotten completely and totally out of control.  Even some members of Congress are now openly complaining about how much power the Fed has.  For example, Ron Paul told MSNBC last year that he believes that the Federal Reserve is now more powerful than Congress…..

“The regulations should be on the Federal Reserve. We should have transparency of the Federal Reserve. They can create trillions of dollars to bail out their friends, and we don’t even have any transparency of this. They’re more powerful than the Congress.”

It is absolutely imperative that the American people get educated about the Federal Reserve and about why a debt-based monetary system is bad for us.

In 1922, Henry Ford wrote the following….

“The people must be helped to think naturally about money. They must be told what it is, and what makes it money, and what are the possible tricks of the present system which put nations and peoples under control of the few.”

The U.S. government does not need to go into debt to anyone.

The U.S. government is a sovereign nation.

So why in the world are we 15 trillion dollars in debt?

We have allowed ourselves to become willingly enslaved.

In the book of Proverbs, it tells us the following….

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

By allowing ourselves to become enslaved to debt, we have become the servants of the international banking system.

Our founding fathers attempted to warn us about this.

For example, Thomas Jefferson strongly believed that when the federal government borrows money in one generation which must be paid back by future generations it is equivalent to stealing….

And I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.

Not only that, Thomas Jefferson also once stated that if he could add just one more amendment to the U.S. Constitution it would be a ban on all government borrowing….

I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our Constitution. I would be willing to depend on that alone for the reduction of the administration of our government to the genuine principles of its Constitution; I mean an additional article, taking from the federal government the power of borrowing.

If we had implemented that advice, how much better off would we be today?

We can still do this.

We can take back control of our financial system.

We can nationalize the Federal Reserve.

We can dramatically cut taxes and eventually shut down the IRS.

We can give our children and grandchildren a future that is debt free.

We can escape the tyranny of the international bankers.

The choice, America, is up to you.

Race, Culture, and Genetics

Major Danish television station shatters taboo on race and intelligence.

DR – 2 is a Danish television network sometimes referred to as the “highbrow station” for it’s focus on news and documentaries. It recently ran a segment that shattered all taboos on the discussion of race and intelligence. The anchor and expert guests state frankly that all tests and studies show that IQ is strongly linked to race and ethnicity. The show declares that “fact are facts” and denounces anyone who would vilify social scientists for speaking the truth.

Science Journalist Leone Frank points out that there is a 16 point IQ gap with first generation Moroccans. Among second generation Moroccans, who have been showered with countless benefits, the IQ gap only lowers to 12 points. Part of the reduction of the gap is only due to European admixture. Frank explains that every study puts IQ at between 60%-80% heritable and only 20%-40% a product of environment.
