Bomb rocks government offices in Oslo, two said dead

In this video image taken from television, smoke is seen billowing from a damaged building as debris is strewn across the street after an explosion in Oslo, Norway Friday July 22, 2011. A loud explosion shattered windows Friday at the government headquarters in Oslo which includes the prime minister's office, injuring several people. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg is safe, government spokeswoman Camilla Ryste told The Associated Press. (AP Photo/TV2 NORWAY via APTN) NORWAY OUT
OSLO, Norway (Reuters) – A massive bomb shattered Norway’s main government building in Oslo Friday, killing two people police were quoted as saying by local news agency NTB.

There was no claim of responsibility, though NATO member Norway has been the target of threats, if not bombs, before, notably over its involvement in conflicts in Afghanistan and Libya. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg was safe, NTB said.

NRK radio said at least two people were killed in an attack that may have brought global political violence to the quiet Scandinavian city.

“It exploded — it must have been a bomb. People ran in panic and ran. I counted at least 10 injured people,” said bystander Kjersti Vedun, who was leaving the area.

A Reuters reporter at the scene said the blast scattered debris across the streets and shook the entire city center around 3:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. EDT). He saw eight people injured, one covered in a sheet and apparently dead.

“So far I can confirm that we have received seven people at Oslo University Hospital,” a press officer at the clinic said.

“I don’t know how seriously wounded they are.”

The explosion blew out most of the windows of the 17-storey central government building, cast a huge pall of smoke over the city and scattered shards of metal and other debris for hundreds of meters.

Nearby ministries were also hit, including the oil ministry, which was on fire. Heavy debris littered the streets.

John Drake, senior risk consultant, at London-based consultancy AKE said: “It may not be too dissimilar to the terrorist attack in Stockholm in December which saw a car bomb and secondary explosion shortly after in the downtown area.

“That attack was later claimed as reprisal for Sweden’s contribution to the efforts in Afghanistan.”

The Reuters correspondent said the streets had been fairly quiet in mid-afternoon on a Friday in high summer, when many Oslo residents take vacation or leave for weekend breaks.

The tangled wreckage of a car was outside one building, as well as the damage to the buildings, appeared consistent to witnesses with that from car bombs.

NATO member Norway has sometimes in the past been threatened by leaders of al Qaeda for its involvement in Afghanistan. But political violence is virtually unknown in a country known for sponsoring the Nobel Peace Prize and mediating in international conflicts, including in the Middle East and Sri Lanka.

It has also taken part the NATO bombing of Libya, where Muammar Gaddafi has threatened to strike back in Europe.

David Lea, Western Europe analyst, at Control Risks said: “There certainly aren’t any domestic Norwegian terrorist groups although there have been some al Qaeda-linked arrests from time to time. They are in Afghanistan and were involved in Libya, but it’s far too soon to draw any conclusions.”

The Battle of Athens

The Battle of Athens

A murder stirred up the trouble.

For the past three days, Athens has been rocked by violence. It all began on Tuesday morning, when a 44-year-old man, Manolis Kantaris, was killed by three Mahgrebs (Morrocan or Algerian according to the police), as they tried to rob him of a video camera he was carrying. The most shocking part, and that which infuriated Greek citizenry, was the fact that the victim carried the video camera because he was going to take his wife to the hospital where she was to give birth to their second child. It was five in the morning, and he was heading to pick up his car so he could transport his wife and mother-in-law. When they saw he was late, they searched for him and found him in a pool of blood. The security cameras of a nearby store showed three dark colored men attacking him and stabbing him in the body and neck as he tried to resist.

Neighbors and angry citizens started to gather around the killing spot after a few hours and used thrash bins to stop the traffic. Hundreds of them gathered. Then the first clashes began. At neighboring streets and plazas in the area, which is the most heavily populated by immigrants, various Africans and South Asians were attacked and beaten. There were also attacks on anarchist squats with the police intervening to protect them.

The next day, we had two more incidents. During a demonstration (organized by leftist parties and anarchists) a demonstrator was heavily injured, allegedly by the police, and moved to the hospital in a coma. Later in the night, an Asian man was attack and killed allegedly by three men talking Greek and wearing in hoods. The police are investigating “racist” motives for the attack (read: “hate crime”).

Those incidents led us to two simultaneous demonstration in the centre of Athens on Thursday, May 12.

The one earlier in the afternoon was called by residents of the area where Kantaris was killed. Somewhere around 4,000 people gathered. After the police did not let them march towards certain squares with a heavy immigrant population, they went towards the city hall of Athens. The police did not anticipate such a crowd, and having to deal with a second demonstration but as well with a football match between two major Athens clubs did not have the numbers to contain it.

Numerous immigrant-owned shops were smashed; there were a lot of clashes between black-clad youth and immigrants as well as with the police. There were also waves of attacks against anarchist-owned squats. About 50 people were taken in police custody.

At the same time, 3,000 leftists and anarchists were gathering in the centre of Athens. Molotov cocktails were tossed were thrown at banks and at the police. But these ended quite early. Up until the morning, the center of Athens was described as being a free for all situation with clashes everywhere, mainly attacks on immigrants.

The morning of Friday 13th, came with another Greek pensioner stabbed, possibly by immigrants, again after he withdrew some money from a bank. The tension is still building up, as the first murder spot has become vigil, with people there almost 24 hours a day; the police describe it as a rallying point for attacks on immigrants.

Greece is a country that has had to deal with immigrants only in the last 20 years. The first wave of immigrants were Europeans, mainly Albanians and other Eastern Europeans; they generally caused an increase in crime, but did not create major social clashes. The second wave of African and South Asian immigration has caused a great deal of tension, especially in the centre of Athens, which is sometimes described as a huge ghetto. For the past three years though, civilians in certain areas of the center have refused to move out, as so many have done; they have organized themselves into “committees” and actively resisted the “takeover of their neighborhoods,” as they call it.

What has happened over the last days was a precursor of what we can expect in the future in many European cities—that is, urban warfare.

Media portrayal of Obama over Bin Laden raid is false.

CIA: Media portrayal of Obama over Bin Laden raid is false.

The media is working overtime to depict Obama as a hero and personally responsible for the raid against Bin Laden’s suburban mansion in Pakistan.

Leon Panetta, director of the CIA, has revealed the media’s accounts to be a fantasy.

First we learned from Panetta that Obama was opposed to the raid. He had to be forced into it kicking and screaming by the CIA. Now Panetta has revealed that the alleged photo of Obama watching live feed of the raid is a fabrication. We had to learn this from the British press. Do not exspect many American media outlets to cover it!

From UK Telegraph…

A photograph released by the White House appeared to show the President and his aides in the situation room watching the action as it unfolded. In fact they had little knowledge of what was happening in the compound.

In an interview with PBS, Mr Panetta said: “Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn’t know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information.

“We had some observation of the approach there, but we did not have direct flow of information as to the actual conduct of the operation itself as they were going through the compound.”

Mr Panetta also told the network that the US Navy Seals made the final decision to kill bin Laden rather than the president.

The media is doing everything they can to help Obama. Why not mention the fact that Obama is giving $2.4 Billion of our tax dollars a year to finance a regime in Pakistan that was probably aiding and abetting Bin Laden. Bin Laden was living large in a gated suburban palace down the street from Pakistan’s largest military academy.

In fact, Pakistan won’t even return the surviving pieces of a top secret stealth helicopter. Pakistani intelligence whisked away the surviving pieces of the helicopter for possible sale to China.

Freedom of Speech or Freedom of Religion?

Freedom of Speech or Freedom of Religion?

Our Dutch correspondent H. Numan, who has been covering the Geert Wilders trial so lucidly for the last couple of weeks, contributes the following overview of the case and its larger ramifications.

Geert Wilders as Galileo
Freedom of speech or freedom of religion?
by H. Numan

It seems that quite a few readers have lost track of what exactly is going on during the Wilders trial. The issue at stake is on what basis our society will come to rest: which is more important? Freedom of religion, or freedom of speech? Not just in The Netherlands, mind you. This trial has much broader consequences.

Let me start off by making it easy: freedom of speech does not mean you have the freedom to shout “FIRE!” in a cinema, for example. There is ample jurisprudence on that one. Freedom of speech has its limitations. You have the right to say what you feel about any religion, but you may have to clarify that in court. Again, there is ample jurisprudence about that topic as well.

Piss Christ by Andres SerranoThere is a current trend, both in Europe as well as in the USA to give freedom of religion far more importance than it actually deserves. That is what is at stake. Currently, someone put an image of Jesus in glass of urine, as an art form. Utterly tasteless, I fully admit. But it falls completely under freedom of speech.

I understand that some (not even that many) Christians are offended. None of them is burning down art galleries, beheading artists, or killing other Christians to show their dislike. That is in stark contrast with mohammedanism, which would go completely berserk if an artist were to place a koran in a jar of urine. They’d happily kill any number of people, including their own, to show their fury. It doesn’t matter at all where the artist lives: be it Nova Zembla, Antarctica, or anywhere between.

This has already happened many times. Offend mohammedanism — anywhere on the world — and we will take revenge. Terry Jones burned a koran, in America. Which is well within his constitutional right to do. It was not (yet) possible to kill that infidel, so they went berserk in Afghanistan. Much easier to do there anyway. Not that easy to kill infidels, sadly. Most infidels in Afghanistan wear flak jackets and carry M16s. So they picked a few of those that don’t and a large number of mohammedans as well. About 24 people killed altogether, as I recall.

The reaction is Chamberlainian: We have to change our laws, in order to compel to their religious beliefs. That is the world on its head. But many politicians will happily appease themselves into dhimmitude. The Dutch government is doing that right now, actually. All for oil…

The Wilders case is far more complicated than that. Wilders is an elected parliamentarian. He cannot be prosecuted for his words outside parliament. But he can be prosecuted for his statements made in public outside parliament. And that is what happened.

That seems not unreasonable, until you read the charge, and see how this circus progresses. The DA did not want to prosecute, because he considered it an impossible case to win. The court had to order the DA to do so, which he then unwillingly did. His demand was release from prosecution. A DA can do that. Normally, the court would by then understand that the case is utterly hopeless and dismiss it.

However, this is a purely political trial. Make no mistake about that. The court did order the prosecution to proceed, and put Wilders on trial. Fortunately, Wilders is defended by the best lawyer in the country. The first trial was dismissed into a re-trial. Not unprecedented, admittedly. However, this particular outcome was absolutely unheard of. Certainly in a trial of this magnitude.

If you had watched the judges blunder along, the DA making a fool of himself and most important: if you had seen the complainants utterly misbehave and show their unprofessional hatred, you’d be disgusted. This was not a trial, this was being put on the stake. If the court had any decency, as one might expect from a court, it should have ordered all the complainants inadmissible.

Wilders trial — Mohammed Enait and Nico Steijnen
One of the councillor-complainants was arrested the day after the trial for climbing over a fence into a military facility. The man is a professional hippie (with filthy hair and ponytail), but he’s pushing 60… He behaved exactly like that in court: as a hippie high as a kite on grass demanding that his (unreasonable) demands be met. Not professional at all. An angry fishmonger would have presented his case more clearly and less revoltingly. Another one already showed his blatant hatred for the entire legal system (in which he actually works) by appearing with a muslim headdress and refusing to remove it. (One is not allowed to wear funny hats in Dutch courts; only a magistrate has that privilege.)

So now we see the Wilders-show Part II: “The hanging continues”.

Wilders must be found guilty. Anything goes to get his head into the noose. After the murder of Pim Fortuyn, having him popped by accident is rather difficult to do. Although the murder of Fortuyn was all too obvious, the organizers got away clean. I doubt if they can do it again. Nobody would believe for a minute that Wilders had been murdered for the sake of poor baby seals. (The murderer of Fortuyn claimed to have murdered him for animal welfare.)

Bram MoszcowiczSo we have to open the dirty tricks book, and see what we can use. The phone call for Moszcowicz was a set-up. He didn’t fall into it, but barely so. Only after seeing the entire clip second by second, many times, did I begin to understand the set up. It was very cleverly done. If you watch the clip just once, you won’t spot it. Certainly not if you don’t understand Dutch. Because the whole trick was linguistic.

What many people — amongst others minister Piet Heijn Donner — do not understand is that shariah law does not have to be implemented as one single package. Muslims would be perfectly happy to see it become enforced in little steps. Piet Hein Donner made himself ridiculous in the previous government by stating he saw no problem with Shariah law, provided it was democratically approved.

Rotterdam Mosque, Geert Wilders
Sheer ranting nonsense: that implies he has no problems with gas chambers, either, or cannibalism, provided a legal majority (in both parliamentary chambers) approve of it. Of course that’s impossible. But the big difference is that shariah law can be applied without even changing the constitution at all. If I can understand that, why has the minister of justice such a hard time understanding this? He has a much better legal training then I’ll ever have.

Nobody will ever come up with a shariah book of law and propose that it become Dutch law in parliament. First both houses must approve, then both must be dissolved, after new elections the matter is put to both houses and only then would shariah law be Dutch law. It won’t happen that way, because it never happened anywhere on this planet that way. Yet, the minister seems to think so.

The first step is already taken. Both in the USA and in The Netherlands. We have to make any religion more important than freedom of speech. That is what is on trial in The Netherlands, and that is why the left-wing powers behind it go full steam to get Wilders convicted. Once any religion can no longer be insulted, it’s a tiny step to forbid questioning of all religions. After all, have you ever met a fundie who is not offended by serious questions regarding his beliefs? And from there we simply enforce that new law, but only to the maximum when the religion is mohammedanism. After all, mohammedans have no problem at all insulting any other religion. They do so daily.

It seems so innocent: in order to protect innocent lives, we have to act when somebody burns any religious book. But nobody will legally act if someone places a crucifix in a jar of piss. Cover a koran with bacon, however, and it’ll be the electric chair for you. Maybe not today, but it is well on its way.

Saudi Royals threaten oil war over US intervention.

Saudi Royals threaten oil war over US intervention.

The latest casualty of Obama’s war in Libya is the US economy.

The Saudis have slashed oil output by 800k barrels a day, causing oil prices to surge to $112 a barrel. The Saudi royals issued a warning to the US not intervene in Saudi internal affairs as they have in other Arab countries.

This follows two weeks of fearmomgering and manipulation by the oil industry to create a speculation fueled rise in oil prices.

Saudi leaders warned that they could drive oil to $200 or even $300 a barrel if the US does not back off and let them take care of their own domestic turmoil.

The US covertly aided anti-government rebels in Egypt and is fighting a war to help anti-government rebels in Libya. Meanwhile the totalitarian government of Saudi Arabia may in fact be much more oppressive than either Egypt or Libya.

Recently Saudi Arabia offered to take over the role of financing the Egyptian military, which would save US taxpayers $1.5 Billion a year. Obama turned the offer down. It is clear that Saudi Arabia wants the US government out of the business and out of the immediate area. The Saudis express shocked that after years of loyal support, the Obama administration turned on Egyptian president Mubarak so easily. Clearly, the Saudi King see the same thing happening to him.

America’s racial Fall- Blacks and Latinos destabilize America

America’s racial Fall- Blacks and Latinos destabilize America

Massive organized race attack on MARTA train.

Two dozen black teens stormed onto a MARTA train and then brutally beat the white passengers while the exits were locked.

If the races had been reversed this would be the biggest story in the world! The media would be screaming the race of the perpetrators and victims. Instead it is a tiny blurp where all of the most relevant information is being CENSORED.

The media is reporting two victims, but there is rumored to be more. A black witness, who was not attacked, told the local ABC station that two Delta airline employees were brutally beaten and that “there was blood everywhere.”

To get any real information we had to go to a minor urban newspaper. That paper still is censoring the race of the victims, but admits the attackers were black, and they were organized. The attackers purposely locked themselves in the train with the victims, so they could not escape.

The attackers chanted BFPL while carrying out the attack. BFPL is a new race based gang in Atlanta.

This video appeared on youtube last year. In the video a group of black thugs, some with pants literally around their knees, rap about committing crime. They display piles of cash and a shiny new sportscar.

If the races had been reversed, the international media would talking about it non-stop and calling it the hate crime of the year. Since the media is censoring the story, it is up to you as readers to get this news out to the public!

US. Rep Louis Gutierrez puts his own race first.

Gutierrez told Barack Obama that he will not support Obama for re-election unless he gets amnesty for illegal aliens passed. We are seeing the dramatic rise of open racial tribalism in the United States.

Black Panthers announce Egyptian style “showdown.”

The militant armed black Muslim group, New Black Panther Party(NBPP), is calling for a 60 city “showdown.” The group preaches a screwball version of Islam that teaches white people were created by an evil wizard. They say Allah will “burn America with fire,” and whites will soon be exterminated in the US.

“The center of the revolution,” as the NBPP calls it, will be in Harlem and led by militant anti-white NYC city council member Charles Barron and NBPP leader Malik Shabazz.

Members of the NBPP who used paramilitary uniforms and billy clubs to intimidate white voters in the past election will be guests of honor at the Harlem demonstration.

Like in Tahir square in Egypt we will establish this historic location for our revolution and our demands. Over 1,000 are expected in this historic outdoor political rally.

Come to our News conference on Tue April 19th at 1pm on 7th Ave and 125th street

As in other revolutions, protests and uprisings going on around the earth, a showdown is looming for Saturday April 23rd as marchers with the ”National International Day of Action and Unity” are furious and frustrated with New York officials blatant discrimination and denial of their constitutional and human right to rally and march. Marchers are marching and rallying in 60 cities around America and in London and Africa to demand justice for Black People and improvement in our conditions.

On 4-23 We will be Rallying at the Adam Clayton Powell building and Marching Down 125th street. On April 23rd, whether we have to do it with or without a permit, face jail or take whatever action is necessary to relieve oppressive conditions against Blacks in New York and around the planet.

This news conference will be attended by Brooklyn City Councilman Charles Barron, March co-organizer, New Black Panther Leader, Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, community supporters and leaders and of course members of the New Black Panther Party, who have been the subject of major national controversy surrounding the Dismissal of Voter Intimidation Charges by the United States Department of Justice.

This is Khallid Muhammed. He is the late founder and original leader of the NBPP. He was closely connected to Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, US Rep Keith Ellison, and former US Rep Cynthia McKinney. In this video he discusses what he wants to do with white people.

Turkish PM shocks Europe – resist assimilation, immigrants should view themselves as a conquering invader, not an immigrant

Turkish PM shocks Europe.

Locust: Enemy State of Turkey; I hope you have bomb shelters, when we drop nukes you will need them, see you soon, we are coming for you. :)

The Prime Minister of Turkey spoke to 10,000 Turkish immigrants living in Germany. He told them to “learn Turkish before German,” and “resist assimilation.” In other words, Turkish immigrants should view themselves as a conquering invader, not an immigrant.

The statements follow recent remarks by the heads of Germany, France, England, Spain, Czech Republic, Malaysia, and Israel that “multiculturalism” has failed in their nations.

From UK Guardian…

“You must integrate, but I am against assimilation … no one may ignore the rights of minorities,” he said, adding that individuals should have the right to practise their own faith.

“Our children must learn German but they must learn Turkish first,” said Erdogan.

He added: “I want you to learn German, that your children learn German – they should study, get degrees. I want you to become doctors, professors and politicians in Germany.”

Germany’s foreign minister, Guido Westerwelle, promptly hit back, saying that the children of the 3.5-million-strong Turkish community should focus on German to improve their chances in life.

“Children growing up in Germany must learn German first,” he said. “The German language is the key to integration for those growing up in Germany.”

The row threatened to overshadow Erdogan’s Germany trip. He is due to meet the German chancellor, Angela Merkel, who caused controversy in October when she said that multiculturalism in Germany had “utterly failed”.

Though his speech reflected Turkey’s unease about what many Turks perceive to be Europe’s increasing xenophobia, it was also an attempt to drum up votes.

There is a general election in Turkey in June and for the first time Turks abroad will be able to vote at Turkish consulates.

Germany, with almost two million eligible voters, will be the fourth largest constituency after Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.

Erdogan is offering as part of his manifesto a better deal for Turks abroad – specifically, a new “blue card”, which is a kind of dual nationality identity card that would allow Turks with German passports more rights back in Turkey.

A State of Mind

The Pentagon has begun field testing for a new and devastating experimental weapon still shrouded under a cloak of secrecy. A spin-off of anti-gravity technologies, the highly anticipated platform operates on the latest developments in the realm of “anti-logic”. Its use will enable our information warriors to defy reason and intellect, paralyzing an opponent with unrelenting streams of contradiction as well as sheer nonsense.

DOD’s anti-logic weapon underwent its first trial run this summer, as it was rushed into action amidst the Koran-burning controversy. An obscure Florida pastor’s plan to barbecue the Muslim holy book on September 11th was foiled, one suspects, largely due to the intervention of General David Petraeus, commander of U.S. and Coalition forces in Afghanistan. Deploying the anti-logic technology, Petraeus spoke against such an act, since it would “endanger troops” in his theater of responsibility. While the wisdom of the pastor’s step was very doubtful, Petraeus in his victory managed to obliterate truth and standards of reason. After all, the actual threat to U.S. troops stems not from a small Florida church’s play at publicity, but from occupying Afghanistan.

In the Postmodern Empire, news serves not so much to inform, but to blind, distract and intimidate. Our much-celebrated information age is defined by an incoherence that permeates society. Welcome to Absurdistan.

Russian traditionalist and science-fiction author Natalya Irtenina accurately diagnoses this disorder as the logical outcome of a culture’s flight from the Transcendent into revolutionary fantasies of liberty, equality and progress. She goes on to analyze the anti-traditional worldview and its manifestations, specifically within the domain of mass media.

Contemporary information technologies are founded, as a rule, on the rejection of

1) Principles of hierarchy, i.e. division of information into categories of important, secondary and negligible;

2) Principles of binary logic- the very significance of the antithesis “important – unimportant”, “necessary- unnecessary”, etc. is lost, and in the applications of mass media these concepts are made meaningless;

3) Unique connections- any information can undergo endless transformations and interpretations, thereby creating various pictures of the world, and any fact can be replaced by any other- the field of possibilities is limitless, and cultural conventions allow for it.

The collapse of values and ideas into an endless net-like structure can be viewed not only as the triumph of relativism, but also as a culminating moment of the liberal project. Where absurdity envelops what is left of a civilization, wars to impose democracy and today’s fashion tips enjoy equal value. The most varied images and sounds emanate through our televisions and internet newsfeeds in transitory fragments, and just as quickly they disintegrate into our subconscious. Western managerial elites wield data flows not to impart knowledge, but rather to impress certain emotions upon readers and viewers for profit and political control.

This jarring discontinuity surprises no one and registers with few, and perhaps nowhere is it more evident than in America’s spiral of decadence and imperial decline. President Obama chats up the women of a day-time talk show, The View, and perhaps within only hours of his appearance approves the movements of U.S. forces positioned across the world. GOP presidential hopeful Sarah Palin recites talking points on the sacred cause of Washington’s global supremacy, and then appears with her celebrity-seeking daughter on the program Dancing with the Stars. The surreal has swallowed our civilization, and any remaining distinctions between parody and public life melt away.

Discourse shifts within seconds from the sexual narcissism of average Americans to scenes of death and destruction abroad, and back. The latest market research, for example, has determined that women feel “sexy” when carrying Victoria’s Secret handbags; only a click away is a report on ongoing U.S. efforts to suborn Kandahar. We learn in passing that sixteen American soldiers have been killed in the course of operations there, and that a number of Taliban fighters and Pashtun villagers in Pakistan’s northwest were recently blown apart by Predator drones. Conservative, God-fearing Fox News tells us the CIA is carrying out these strikes to disrupt a plot by terror cells across Europe. Simultaneously Fox, the flagship of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation conglomerate, hoists a ringing endorsement of pornography and masturbation underneath the terrorism story. Fellow-citizens take daily excursions into what Irtenina terms our virtual apocalypse, where endurance of the Last Judgment is swapped out for a record total of kills in a game or the successful resolution to a sitcom.

For an observer of only moderate discretion, the rapidity and volume of what amounts to a continuous tidal wave of trivia and garbage is striking. Even more crucial is to recognize its underlying function. The self-isolating liberation of desire in individuals both drives and facilitates U.S. Empire, at least for a time. And the profligacy and consumption lifestyle so intensively marketed to Americans by Wall Street are directly related to the quest to lock down energy resources in Eurasia.

Facing Muslim militancy from the sands of the Maghreb to the peaks of Afghanistan, Washington capitalizes on the situation by expanding its sphere of control. The ideological justification given for this is the call to share the Gospel of the Open Society, with science diplomacy and generous foreign aid to outright bombardment, invasion and occupation the methods of proselytism.

Like Marxism-Leninism, liberal democracy has a universal mandate- it must spread to the ends of the Earth or perish. The regnant ideology behind American power allows for no higher value than platitudes on “free nations, open markets and social progress”, and even the frenzy of missionary wars and so-called institution-building cannot conceal the gaping meaninglessness beneath it all. Any substantive opposition rooted in religious faith, culture and ethnic identity must be delegitimized and wiped out, as the Serbs experienced just over a decade ago under the shadow of NATO cruise missiles.

Also ironically akin to Soviet Communism, the Open Society could be meeting the beginning of its end in the treacherous valleys of the Hindu Kush. Why are U.S. troops sent to foster “good governance” in Helmand Province and elsewhere, besides effectively running protection for pederast warlords who make a killing in the global heroin trade?

The answer to this question is multifaceted but rather straightforward. U.S. interventions in the Islamic world will continue so that our deluded nations may prolong the liberal dream, that the Brave New World will overcome any and all resistance from the East or West. So that Muslim demographics and power in our lands will only grow in strength, with churches made into mosques, death threats to cartoonists in hiding and interminable terror alerts. So that the emptying-out of the Western soul may proceed, that the bearers of our blessed and honorable heritage are condemned to dissolution, and that the chaos at the hollow core of the Postmodern Empire shall overrun us. And all of this will doubtless be covered in real-time on Fox & Friends, with today’s scoreboard highlights brought to you by Cialis.

Absurdistan is not just a label for one of Washington’s trillion-dollar carnage-laden adventures in the wilds of Central Asia; it is a state of mind. We are all in some degree subject to its power, but duty-bound to resist its seductions and lies. By lies and fantasies the regime may sustain itself, yet under their weight it will also implode. The struggle to affirm Truth will hasten that day.

Trouble is Brewing in Culemborg

by Baron Bodissey

Cultural Enrichment News
Our Flemish correspondent VH has prepared an extensive report (the first part was compiled yesterday) on the growing conflict between Dutch-Moluccans and Moroccan immigrants in Culemborg. VH includes this prefatory note:

This is a translation of an article about what seems to have been an assault on a 15-year-old girl by Moroccans, carried out in retaliation for girl’s reporting a Moroccan to the police for the arson of a car.

The girl is of a Dutch-Moluccan (Christian background) family, and in her neighborhood more Dutch-Moluccan families live. They have had a lot of trouble with Moroccans in the past, but this assault might trigger bigger riots and has also enraged the Dutch, who in comments show their anger and sympathy with the Dutch-Moluccans. Maybe some are prepared to join the Dutch-Moluccans in taking action or organizing revenge against the Moroccans.

I have also compiled additional material from a variety of sources (links are at the bottom).

Note: the attacked girl seems to be 15 years old (not 13, as I reported in my translation).

As of post-time, the maluku4you link does not work. If I understand the Dutch-language notice correctly, it says that the site has been blocked:

Battles in Culemborg district, attack on 13-year-old girl

Culemborg 1On New Year’s Eve the Dutch city of Culemborg was the scene of serious disturbances. Moroccan and Dutch-Moluccan[1] youths clashed with each other after a car fire. The police responded to the hostilities and were pelted with stones and fireworks.

According to the comments in the local newspaper and on a Dutch-Moluccan website, a Moroccan boy was caught trying to set fire to a car belonging to a Dutch-Moluccan. When the father of the boy involved himself, a row emerged, more Moroccans showed up, and it evolved to a fight on a larger scale. The mobile brigade (ME) of the police then intervened and the rest returned when residents were ordered to enter their homes.

Culemborg 2At five in the morning everything again went wrong, when Moroccans tried to run down Dutch-Moluccan people with their car. Their attempt ended up with their driving into a garden against the front of a house in the Diepenbrockstraat (a street were many Dutch-Moluccans reside [map]), whereby they struck two people who were celebrating the new year with others in the front garden. These victims, one of them a 13-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries.

The occupants of the car tried to escape, but two of them were caught by angry Dutch-Moluccans and beaten up: one of the Moroccans had to be transferred to the hospital by ambulance. The other Moroccans were later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The five Moroccans are 18 and 19, and 21 years of age and are from the cities Culemborg, Zeist and Utrecht. Some of them have already been released [Monday] but are still suspects. The driver of the car is still behind bars.

Windows smashed

Culemborg 3On Sunday, the mobile brigade was withdrawn by the mayor although the tension was still there. Sunday evening it all broke loose again. According to residents, a group of Moroccans (about 40 of them) came walking into the neighborhood and smashed the windows of five houses and threw Molotov cocktails inside. They also smashed a few car windows. Two people were slightly injured, one of them again, the 13-year-old girl: “At the same address where the car drove into the front garden, now a huge boulder went through the window. One person who was wounded was the same 13-year old girl who was hit by the car a few nights before.”

The mother of the girl: “I got down on my knees to get to her … there she lay, bleeding. […] What do they want, her life?” The mother of the injured girl would have preferred that the police had kept a better eye on the street after the New Year’s assault. “How can the police not have seen that, it cannot be, I am not going to take this any longer… really.”

After the attack, the Dutch-Moluccans were outraged, and the mobile brigade and police entered the Moluccan district with their guns drawn. A policeman was wounded, and the mobile brigade tried to calm the residents. Everybody was ordered to go inside, or arrests would follow. According to a commenter on the Dutch-Moluccan website maluku4you, Dutch-Moluccan youngsters had later on staged a counter-action against the houses in the nearby Moroccan district.

Targeted assault on 13-year-old girl

- – – - – – – – -

Culemborg 4The action in the early morning on New Year’s Day was not just an attack, the residents say. It was a targeted assault as Algemeen Dagblad reports, on the 13-year-old Shoëla Coenmans, who earlier that week, Tuesday, witnessed a car being set on fire. She recognized one of the Moroccan boys, called 112 [emergency number], and later filed a witness report with the police. Only a few days later five Moroccan boys crashed their car against her parents house and wounded her.

The father of the girl, John Coenmans: “This is no coincidence. Last Wednesday she was even intimidated in the supermarket, threatened, and again on Thursday. Later on, they tried to run over her (with a car). They first drove towards a group across the street. Fortunately, those people hopped out of the way. Then they drove against the garden fence. That did not work. They then reversed to take a run at it. The second time they did manage to crash through the fence.’’

Daughter Shoëla is still walking with a limp. Her leg was bruised by the collision with the car: “I could just barely jump aside.” Shoëla also sees a link with her earlier declaration with the police: “They recognized me. I came walking up there, the car was just set on fire. I saw them run away and recognized one of the (Moroccan) boys. He saw me as well.”

The family will not think of moving. Coenmans: “Never!’’ But what does touch John Coenmans is the attitude of the mayor of Culemborg, Roland Van Schelven (of the anti-Wilders party D66): “He said on television that he had been in the neighborhood, but we have ‘t seen him. Something like this happens in your town and you don’t show up. What kind of behavior is that? We are not the royals, but still.”

According to a comment on the website “maluku4you,” on that Sunday evening, January 3, the Moroccans had held an emergency meeting in their mosque, and probably from there went straight towards the Dutch-Moluccan district to attack.

Mayor Roland Van Schelven, former alderman of the city of Gouda, which also has trouble with Moroccan street terror, is according to many commenters on a Moluccan website totally incompetent and easily chooses the side of the Moroccans. He now seems to have ordered that cameras be put up in the Diepenbrockstraat where the attack happened, and the Mayor has proclaimed an emergency order, hoping to prevent groups from gathering and Dutch-Moluccans and Moroccans from clashing again in Culemborg.

A commenter on maluku4you: “The situation is explosive in Culemborg, now a Moroccan is seriously wounded and in the hospital. Fortunately there were no dead, otherwise it would be war and the situation incalculable. The Culemborg district Terweijde is a Dutch-Moluccan district that is now heavily guarded by the police. The atmosphere is grim and explosive. Especially the Dutch-Moluccan church is closely guarded, because many Moroccans live around there. They are afraid the Moroccans might do something with the Dutch-Moluccan church and then the storm would certainly burst, the mobile brigade and police are monitoring everything very strictly.”

GeenStijl reports that possibly tonight [Monday] the Satuh Darah Motorclub [meaning “one region”, pointing at the Moluccan Islands in Indonesia], the Dutch-Moluccan branch of the Hells Angels, will try to make a drive through Culemborg. “Dear fellow Dutch-Moluccans, don’t be afraid, we are here for you.”

Anger is shared by Dutch-Moluccans and native Dutch anywhere you look in comments today. GeenStijl has a poll asking: “All right: who are right here?”, on which 97.3% side with the Dutch-Moluccans. A few comments on the Dutch-Moluccan website maluku4you:

Come on native Dutch, don’t let our Dutch-Moluccans stand in the cold, choose sides, for it is a big scandal to attack a 13-year-old girl simply because she had recognized those Berbers [Moroccans]. I stand firmly behind our Moluccans, which are Dutch and those desert-rats will never become that. — Comment by: inherent | January 4, 2010 at 15:29

This Muslim mob wants to make dhimmis of Dutch-Moluccans! Very good and quite right that you are not taking this. And do not believe this is just a bizarre incident. This is a harbinger of the upcoming multicultural civil war. Like Israel is at the international front in the fight against Muslims, so the Dutch-Moluccans are the front in the Netherlands. Well … Keep up the good work. You fight for freedom and security. — Comment by: erdebe | January 4, 2010 at 14:30

The Dutch-Moluccans are in the Netherlands due to historical ties because of Dutch responsibility. This is of completely different order than the designed wave of immigration the leftist elite makes use of to destroy Western civilization and destroy capitalism, because of self hatred. As a Dutchman I am 100% in solidarity with my Dutch-Moluccan compatriots — we share history! Do not think that all Dutch are cowards. Self-conscious Dutch are not yet sufficiently organized. Come to Islamsterdam on January 20 to protest against the Wilders trial. We try to build an organization there! It is bad in the Netherlands, even worse than in Flanders. That there sooner or later emerge civil wars from, seems normal to me, people will not continue to accept that violence of Moroccans. It’s all about OIL. The only thing they have in those magnificent Islamic countries is oil, and what is the West still worth without oil? Nothing! That is why there is a Muslim invasion in Europe and we dare not to act against the thugs among them, fearing to get no more oil. The West should be as soon as possible try to function without oil, then we can kick out all those Berbers [Moroccans]. […] This people has no place in our Western culture. And today’s order-word that we and our cultures are all equal is nonsense, nothing is equal, let alone equivalent. […] Islam is NOT a religion but a subversive sect of barbaric ruthless murderers. See the example of Kosovo and be attentive to the coming danger: one part (or whole) of the Netherlands will eventually be declared an independent Muslim region, established with bloodshed. People get up, fight for your land and your safety, your right to a peaceful life. — Comment by: fee | January 4, 2010 at 13:37

People from Indonesia have always behaved exemplary and together with the Dutch lived in good friendship. They married each other, started to discover and appreciate each other’s culture and food. The Indonesians have a sophisticated culture and among one of the finest and best people on this earth. The Dutch-Moluccan temperament is slightly more direct and more temperamental but also very righteous and friendly. In short, no problem. […]And they [the government] brought the Moroccans to our country. But they do not greet us on the street. They do not talk to us. They do not marry with us. No ties at all. And that’s weird. Moreover, they are very coarse and direct and full of temperament. That in itself is not bad, but it clashes with our culture and even more with the more sophisticated Dutch-Moluccan culture. […] Can you change this all? I think not. So it seems to me that the Moroccans are also not able to feel at home here. Project failed. — Comment by: tamar | January 4, 2010 at 12:33

I’m just reading the reactions on Spits-news. If this is even 1 indicator of the support that the Dutch-Moluccans in the country have, than they are solid. A follow-up story was published today in De Telegraaf:

Moroccan and Dutch-Moluccans from across the country ready for battle

by Johan van den Dongen

CULEMBORG — The racial riots[2] between Moroccans and Dutch-Moluccans in Culemborg threaten to become a nationwide conflagration.

Although for years the tensions between two groups in the city of Culemborg have occasionally flared up and then calmed down, the flames now seem to spread. Moroccans and Dutch-Moluccans from other parts of the country have already indicated they will come down to the Culemborg district Terweijde [see map] to assist their own group and prepare for a possible battle.

Also, on the Internet, groups of signature [Indonesians, native Dutch, Surinamians and others] are challenging in a hooligan-like manner to a confrontation with Moroccans[3]. The spark seems to have appeared in September, when a Moroccan and a Dutch-Moluccan got into a fight in a kebab take-away [the Moroccan had purposely damaged the car of the Dutch Moluccan]. Big fights followed, and after the turn of the year there was a double attack on the 15-year-old girl [father Dutch, mother Dutch-Moluccan] Shoëla Coenmans, because she had reported a Moroccan for having set a car on fire.

Special emergency law

Mayor Roland van Schelven [D66, anti-Wilders party; former teacher and alderman in Gouda where they also do not dare to deal with the Moroccan street terror], who yesterday issued an emergency regulation for the next two weeks [special emergency law which for instance forbids gatherings of more than four people], fears the arrival of rioters. “Stay away from Terweijde”, he warned yesterday in an emotional appeal to the public. Mayor van Schelven in the meantime has asked Minister of the interior Guusje [“elite revolt”] ter Horst for financial help. “I hope for the support of the minister. To a small town like Culemborg, any assistance in this case is of good use.”

The PvdA [Socialist] Minister announced yesterday that he would make available €150,000 [about US $220,000] to allow Culemborg to employ three “street coaches” against the nuisance. Late last year, there a mobile squad of experts had already been sent to the municipality to intervene.

The police are also on alert about groups from outside of Culemborg. For a while the police will be present, including among others a mobile brigade unit. The deployment cost tons of euros, says police chief Van Zwam. For the next two weeks there will be a ban on the assembly of four or more people in the district. Firebreaks are closed with concrete fences. That should make it difficult for “unauthorized persons” to get behind the houses.

The Diepenbrockstraat [the street in the city of Culemborg where the 15-year old girl lives with her family and the Moroccan attacks took place] yesterday was partially closed off with concrete blocks. According to Mayor Roland van Schelven — who calls for parents to keep their rioting youth off the street — the police operation in Culemborg in the new year was bigger than ever. Nevertheless, during [actually after] the serious disturbances a black Fiat Punto with five Moroccans drove into two groups of people [aiming for the second group of the girl]. Residents talk about an assault against the girl Shoëla Coenmans who a few days earlier had recognized a Moroccan boy trying to burn a car and filed a declaration with the police.

Last night about ten Moluccan residents were guarding the district. They say they stand for their own safety because out of the blue Sunday night people [some 40] Moroccans had shown up to perpetrate destruction. They do not trust the mobile brigade unit that is around the corner. The police in Culemborg made 14 arrests, including five Moroccans who were in the car. Of them only the driver is still locked up. Two men who were arrested for serious assault are also still under arrest.

[1] Dutch-Moluccans are descendants of former “Royal Dutch East Indies Army” (KNIL) military and are Dutch nationals. After the independence of Indonesia they had to go to the Netherlands and were treated quite disrespectfully by the Dutch government of the day. Dutch-Moluccans are mostly Christian and many hope for an eventual independent South Moluccas, but have settled and are very well integrated in Dutch society.
[2] It is not racial tension, but a tension caused by Muslim Moroccans who feel themselves some kind of herrenvolk and demand that others behave like obedient dhimmis (like Socialist- and Christian-Socialist politicians already do). In Culemborg it is non-integrated Muslim Moroccans against integrated (in the majority) Christian Dutch-Moluccans, which latter group receives an increasingly larger and stronger amount of support from native Dutch and other non-Muslim population groups, who are all fed up with the Moroccans or “little Islamites” as they are called sometimes in comments.
[3] In the comment sections of many websites, quite a bit of tough talk is expressed against Moroccans and Islamites, both by Dutch-Moluccans as well as native Dutch and other groups. It possibly will remain confined to expressions of sincere outrage only, but if what is said in the comments becomes real action, mayor battles can be expected against the Moroccan Muslims, with the risk of spreading elsewhere in the Netherlands.

Does Islam Breed Violence?

Does Islam Breed Violence?

By Amil Imani

There is a division of the house. On one side are the politically correct in government, the leftist mainstream media, and a raft of Islamist apologists. One and all are tripping over each other in reassuring us the mass murderers such as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan and suicide-bombers who detonate their explosive vests in crowded marketplaces and even mosques are individual anomalies and Islam is not responsible for what they do.

On the other side are those fed up with the innumerable daily horrific acts throughout the world that are clearly committed under the banner of Islam. In all fairness, there needs to be a distinction. Numerous criminal acts are also committed on a daily basis by non-Muslims. The critical difference is that non-Muslim criminals do not hoist a religious banner to justify their misdeeds, while the Muslims proudly claim that they commit their heinous acts in obedience to the dictates of their religious faith.
Would someone please explain what motivated Nidal Hasan, who at taxpayers’ expense was educated from college all the way through medical school and post medical-school training, to turn his deadly weapons against the nation that gave him everything he had?
If Islam had nothing to do with what Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan did, then why:
* did he repeatedly preach the ascendancy of Islam over the U.S. Constitution?
* did he publicly support Islamic suicide-bombing?
* did he proclaim his highest loyalty to Islam?
* was he in contact with violent anti-U.S. Islamists and a virulent Yemeni Imam?
* did he distribute copies of the Quran to people the morning of his bloody attack?
* did he keep screaming “Allahu akbar” as he heartlessly sprayed over a hundred bullets, killing thirteen and injuring some thirty innocent men and women?
Here is the truth, as bitter as it may be: Islam is the culprit. Islam is anything but a religion of peace. Violence is at the very core of Islam. Violence is institutionalized in the Muslims’ holy book, the Quran, in many suras:
Quran 9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
9:112 “The Believers fight in Allah’s cause; they slay and are slain, kill and are killed.”
8:39 “So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world).”
8:65 “O Prophet, urge the faithful to fight. If there are twenty among you with determination they will vanquish two hundred; if there are a hundred then they will slaughter a thousand unbelievers, for the infidels are a people devoid of understanding.”
9:38 “Believers, what is the matter with you, that when you are asked to go forth and fight in Allah’s Cause you cling to the earth? Do you prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? Unless you go forth, He will afflict and punish you with a painful doom, and put others in your place.”
47:4 “When you clash with the unbelieving Infidels in battle (fighting Jihad in Allah’s Cause), smite their necks until you overpower them, killing and wounding many of them. At length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind them firmly, making (them) captives. Thereafter either generosity or ransom (them based upon what benefits Islam) until the war lays down its burdens. Thus are you commanded by Allah to continue carrying out Jihad against the unbelieving infidels until they submit to Islam.”
And the Quran is considered by Muslims to be the word-for-word literal edicts of their god, Allah.
Right from the start, violence served as the engine of Islam under the command and supervision of Muhammad himself. For one, the Prophet’s son-in-law cousin, Ali, was titled the Commander of the Faithful for his unsurpassed feats of butchery. With the assistance of one or two of his thugs, Ali beheaded some seven hundred captives, most of them Jews, in only one day. This man, highly esteemed by the prophet of Allah, carried a sword that had its own name — Zolfaghar. Ali’s portrait, holding the menacing sword, adorns the homes and shops throughout Shiite lands. And Ali is revered by the Shiites at the same level as Muhammad.
On the Sunni side, Muhammad’s co-revered is Umar, another unabashed killer of untold numbers. And of course, the choice weapon of these champions of the religion of peace was the sword. To this day, a sword adorns the flag of Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of the religion of peace.
And Islam, by the very nature of its doctrine, appeals to man’s base nature. It promotes intolerance, hatred, discrimination, and much more:
Quran 61:2 “O Muslims, why say one thing and do another? Grievously odious and hateful is it in the sight of Allah that you say that which you do not. Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in a battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure.”
In reality, Islam is like a deadly, contagious disease. Once it invades the mind of its victim, it is capable of transforming him to a helpless pawn that has no choice but to execute what he is directed to do.
Of the reported 1.3 billion Muslims in the world, millions are already trapped in the terminal stages of this affliction, while millions of others are rapidly joining them. The people enslaved with the extreme cases of Islamic mental disease are highly infectious. They actively work to transmit the disease to others, while they themselves engage in horrific acts of mayhem and violence to demonstrate their unconditional obedience to the dictates of the Islamic cult.
The savagery and variety of the actions of these Islamic captives are seen daily around the globe. Many of these acts, committed under the banner of Islam, have become so commonplace that the world has come to view them as part and parcel of a troubled humanity. And, from time to time, the world is shocked into a passing and momentary realization of the evil deeds these Islamist robots commit. However, people quickly get over it, and they do nothing to seriously address this affliction.
The recent and dastardly mass murder at Fort Hood, committed by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, will be forgotten by the public before long. Life will continue on its deadly course, pushed along in a variety of ways by Islamists, the agents of death. Only the families who lost their loved ones and those who survived the bullets have to live the rest of their lives with incapacitating injuries. They likely won’t be able to put the episode behind them.
The mass-murderer Hasan did not riddle people with bullets under the pressure of momentary insanity. The insanity — ironic in a man who was trained to help people with sanity — was introduced in him from the moment of birth and from the very early years when he prostrated himself five times daily toward Mecca in expression of total submission to the dogma of hate called Islam.
A true Muslim does not and cannot believe in freedom of choice. In the religion of Islam — “submission” — everything is up to Allah, as clearly and repeatedly stipulated in the Quran. The raison d’être for the Muslim is unconditional submission to the will and dictates of Allah. Everything that a “good” Muslim does is contingent upon the will and decree of Allah, in which the Muslim is indoctrinated to believe.
Humanity is facing a deeply troubling dilemma. On the one hand is the desire of enlightened people to forge a diverse world into one society ruled by peace and justice, while on the other hand, Islamists are hellbent on imposing their stone-age system on everyone. Tellingly, the Muslims themselves are at one another’s throats regarding which of dozens of Islamic sects’ dogma should rule.
For now, Islam is busy with what it did from the time of its birth: fighting the non-Muslims, and infighting.
Truth be told, violence is the animating force of Islam. Islam is a religion born through violence, raised by violence, which thrives on violence, and which dies without violence.

Diversity Is Strength! It’s Also…Major Hasan And The Unravelling Of America

Diversity Is Strength! It’s Also…Major Hasan And The Unravelling Of America

By Patrick J. Buchanan

Nidal Malik Hasan was two men.

One was the proud Army major who wore battle fatigues to mosque; the other, the proud Arab who wore Muslim garb in civilian life.

What brought Hasan’s identities into fatal conflict was his belief that Iraq and Afghanistan were unjust wars, and his shock that he, a Muslim, was to be sent to serve in one of those wars, against fellow Muslims—a sin against Allah meriting damnation.

Hasan was conflicted by a dual loyalty—to the country he had sworn to protect, and to his perceived duty as a Muslim. When Hasan told his neighbor that morning, “I am going to do good work for God,” the call of jihad overrode his oath of loyalty as an American soldier.

Hasan proceeded to shoot, wound or kill 44 U.S. soldiers, and die on what he saw as the side of right, the side of Islam, against America. Allahu Akbar!”“God is great!”—Hasan shouted as he began firing.

An Internet posting by “Nidal Hasan” compared suicide bombers to Medal-Of-Honor winners who throw themselves on grenades to save fellow soldiers. Hasan had decided to become a suicider for Allah.

Though this was an act of treachery against his fellow soldiers, of treason in wartime, of terrorism and mass murder, Hasan must have seen himself as a hero and martyr.

Few ever commit atrocities like this. But conflicts in identities and loyalties are common in the cauldrons of war.

“Let none but Americans stand guard tonight, said Washington at Valley Forge. Irish Catholics deserted the Union army to fight beside Mexican Catholics in the San Patricio battalion against what they thought was American aggression. Honored today by Mexico, the San Patricios were hanged when captured by Winfield Scott‘s army.

In Scott’s march to Mexico City was Robert E. Lee. The hero of Buena Vista was Col. Jefferson Davis, who had married the daughter of his commanding officer, future President Zachary Taylor. Davis went on to serve in the Cabinet of Franklin Pierce and the U.S. Senate.

Yet, in 1861, Davis and Lee would depart the service of their country to wage war against the United States on behalf of their new nation and the kinfolk to whom they belonged and whom they believed had a right to be free of the Union. Were they traitors—or patriots?

This is not to compare the deeds of the San Patricios, Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee, all of whom declared themselves openly and fought heroically and honorably, with the crimes of Maj. Hasan.

But it is to raise the issue of conflicting loyalties in the hearts of men in a nation that has declared religious, racial and ethnic diversity to be not only a national good but a national goal.

Whence came this idea? No previous generation believed this.

In World War I, Wilson feared that if he went to war, German-Americans might march on Washington. FDR was so fearful that the blood ties of Japanese citizens and residents would trump their loyalty to the United States he ordered 110,000 transferred from California to detention camps for the duration of the war.

In Arkansas last year, a Muslim opposed to the U.S. wars shot two soldiers at a recruitment center, killing one. In Kuwait, before the invasion of Iraq, a Muslim soldier threw a grenade into the tent of his commanding officer, killing two and wounding 14.

This is not to suggest that all American Muslims or Arabs should be citizens under suspicion. Muslims have died fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, as German-Americans died fighting against Germany in two world wars. But it is to say this:

America is unraveling. No longer are we one nation and one people. Tens of millions have come and tens of millions are coming whose first loyalty is to the kinfolk and country they left behind, and to the faith they carry in their hearts. And if, in our long war against “Islamofascism,” we are seen as trampling on their nation, faith or kinsmen, they will see us, as Hasan came to see us, as the enemy of their sacred identity.

There is no American Melting Pot anymore. It was discarded by our elites as an instrument of cultural genocide. Now we celebrate America as the most multiracial, multiethnic, multicultural country on earth, the Universal Nation of Ben Wattenberg‘s warblings.

And, yet, we are surprised by ethnic espionage in our midst, the cursing of America from mosques in our cities, the news that Somali immigrants are going home to fight our Somali allies, and that illegal aliens march under Mexican flags to demand American citizenship.

Eisenhower’s America was a nation of 160 million with a Euro-Christian core and a culture all its own. We were a people then. And when we have become, in 2050, a stew of 435 millions, of every creed, culture, color and country of Earth, what holds us together then?

Blind Diversity Equals Death

Blind Diversity Equals Death

By Michelle Malkin

The violence at Fort Hood, President Obama told mourners on Tuesday, was “incomprehensible.” The “twisted logic that led to the tragedy,” he reiterated, may be “too hard to comprehend.” If the Bush administration suffered a systemic failure of imagination on homeland security, the Obama administration is suffering a willful failure of comprehension.

What exactly is so hard to comprehend? Fort Hood jihadist Maj. Nidal Hasan made his means, motives and inspiration all too clear for those willing to see and hear. In his 2007 slide presentation to fellow Army doctors on “The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the Military,” Hasan spelled it out: “We love death more then (sic) you love life!”[Slideshow Gallery]

Hasan exposed the deadly tension between his adherence to Islam and his service in the U.S. military. Slide 11 stated: “It’s getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims.” Slide 12 cited Koranic sanctions for killing fellow believers. And Hasan made clear he wasn’t alone among Muslim soldiers who “should not serve in any capacity that renders them at risk to hurting/killing believers unjustly.”

Slide 13 ominously listed “adverse events” involving Muslim soldiers—including the fatal 2003 fragging attack on American soldiers in Kuwait by Sgt. Hasan Akbar (who was sentenced to death but remains alive while his case is on appeal); the desertion case of Lebanon-born Muslim Marine Wassef Ali Hassoun; and the espionage case of Muslim chaplain James Yee (the charges were dropped, but the case raised lingering security concerns about Muslim chaplains at Gitmo and elsewhere trained by terror-linked Saudi-subsidized institutes).

Hasan missed a few “adverse events” that have faded from public memory in our reflexive age of “Islam is peace” emotionalism-over-comprehension:

  • John Muhammad, the Beltway jihadist put to death Tuesday night, was a member of the Army’s 84th Engineering Company. As I’ve reported previously, Muhammad was suspected of throwing a thermite grenade into a tent housing 16 of his fellow soldiers as they slept before the ground-attack phase of Gulf War I in 1991. Muhammad was admitted to the Army despite being court-martialed while serving in the Louisiana National Guard for willfully disobeying orders, striking another noncommissioned officer, wrongfully taking property and being absent without leave.

Although Muhammad was led away in handcuffs and transferred to another company pending charges for the grenade attack, an indictment never materialized. Muhammad was honorably discharged from the Army in 1994. He later brainwashed young Lee Malvo in black nationalism and jihad—and the two carried out the three-week killing spree that left 10 dead in 2002 in the name of Allah.

  • Muslim American soldier Hasan Abujihaad was convicted last year on espionage and material terrorism support charges after serving aboard the USS Benfold and sharing classified information with al-Qaida financiers, including movements of U.S. ships just six months after al-Qaida operatives had killed 17 Americans aboard the USS Cole in the port of Yemen.
  • Jeffrey Leon Battle was a former Army reservist, convicted of conspiring to levy war against the United States and “enlisting in the Reserves to receive military training to use against America.” He had planned to wage war against American soldiers in Afghanistan.
  • Egyptian Ali A. Mohamed joined the U.S. Army while a resident alien despite being on a State Department terrorist watch list before securing his visa. An avowed Islamist, he taught classes on Muslim culture to U.S. Special Forces at Fort Bragg, N.C., and obtained classified military documents. He was granted U.S. citizenship over the objections of the CIA. Honorably discharged from the Army in 1989, Mohamed then hooked up with Osama bin Laden as an escort, trainer, bagman and messenger. Mohamed used his U.S. passport to conduct surveillance at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi. He later pleaded guilty to conspiring with bin Laden and admitted his role in the 1998 African embassy bombings that killed more than 200 people, including a dozen Americans.

Political correctness is a gangrenous infection. My generation has submitted to a toxic diet of multiculturalism, identity politics, anti-Americanism and entitlement. The problem festered under the Bush administration. Despite 9/11, government at all levels refused to screen out jihadi-apologizing influences in our military, at the FBI, in prisons and even fire departments. Despite the bloody consequences of open borders, the Bush Pentagon allowed illegal aliens to enter the military. The grievance lobby has plied the Muslim jihadist-as-victim narrative for nearly a decade now.

They prevail. In June, Muslim domestic terror suspect Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad went on another shooting spree at an Arkansas recruiting station that left one serviceman dead. The Obama Justice Department response: to redouble its efforts to use “criminal and civil rights laws to protect Muslim Americans.”

Next week, Attorney General Eric Holder will speak at a banquet featuring the Council on American-Islamic Relations, an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism financing case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.

How did Fort Hood happen, obtuse Washington asks. Simple: Blind diversity equals death.

The Demographic Future of Europe?

The Demographic Future of Europe?

The EU faces challenges in its demographic future. Most concerns centre around two related issues; an ageing population, and overall population decline.

The 2006 birth rate is 10 births per 1000 population, while the death rate is 10.1 deaths per 1000 people, making 2006 the first time in modern (non war) history where more people have died in Europe than were born. [11] The total fertility rate is an internationally low 1.47 children born per female, [11] where fertility rates above 2 per female are generally needed to maintain the current population. These figures mean the population of the EU is expected to decrease, while also suggesting the average age of European society will grow ever higher. _Wikipedia_EU_DEmographics

A century ago, Europe was home to 25% of the world’s population. While the population of the continent has grown, it hasn’t come close to the pace of Asia or Africa. As it stands now, around 12% of the world’s people live on this continent, but if demographic trends keep their pace, Europe’s share may fall to around 7% in 2050. _Demography_of_Europe_Wikipedia

For a far more in depth look at population trends in Europe, I suggest this post from Demography Matters blog. The author of the blog post, Edward Hugh, takes a detailed look at Thomas Subotka’s ppt presentation “Fertility Trends in Europe”. Using Subotka’s data, Hugh arrives at somewhat different, more pessimistic conclusions than Subotka.

The following Wikipedia table looks at a breakdown of births in France, by geographic origin of birth mother. It addresses the question of how to account for recent increases in birth rates within France.

Average number of children in France(1991-1998) Average number of children in country of origin(1990-1999)
All women living in metropolitan France 1.74
Women born in Metropolitan France 1.70
Immigrant women 2.16
Women born in overseas France 1.86
Immigrant women (country of birth)
Spain 1.52 1.23
Italy 1.60 1.24
Portugal 1.96 1.49
Other EU 1.66 1.44
Turkey 3.21 1.92
Other Europe 1.68 1.41
Algeria 2.57 3.64
Morocco 2.97 3.28
Tunisia 2.90 2.73
Other Africa 2.86 5.89
Asia (Mostly China) 1.77 2.85
The Americas and Oceania 2.00 2.54

The data only goes to 1998, but it suggests that immigration is responsible for the lion’s share of recent increased fertility within France. The same is true, of course, in the USA.

Mission Accomplished?

The current online version of presents a triumphalist version of world population control, here and here.

SOMETIME in the next few years (if it hasn’t happened already) the world will reach a milestone: half of humanity will be having only enough children to replace itself. That is, the fertility rate of half the world will be 2.1 or below. This is the “replacement level of fertility”, the magic number that causes a country’s population to slow down and eventually to stabilise. According to the United Nations population division, 2.9 billion people out of a total of 6.5 billion were living in countries at or below this point in 2000-05. The number will rise to 3.4 billion out of 7 billion in the early 2010s and to over 50% in the middle of the next decade. The countries include not only Russia and Japan but Brazil, Indonesia, China and even south India. _Economist

At a time when Malthusian worries are resurgent and people fear the consequences for an overcrowded planet, the decline in fertility is surprising and somewhat reassuring. It means that worries about a population explosion are themselves being exploded—and it carries a lesson about how to solve the problems of climate change. _Economist

This victorious story line rests upon a fictitious statistic, known as the total fertility rate (TFR). What is the TFR and why is it fictitious?

…this rate [TFR] is the number of children a woman would have if she was subject to prevailing fertility rates at all ages from a single given year, and survives throughout all her childbearing years. _Wikipedia

In other words, TFR is a hypothetical rate, based upon a number of dubious assumptions. It is an artificial projection of the present into the future. The probability of the TFR corresponding to actual future fertility is close to 0.

It is assumed that as a wave of prosperity and modernisation sweeps over the hyper-procreating third world, that fertility rates in the nations that lie above the replacement line in the image above, will fall dramatically to replacement levels.

It is true that in most societies, as more women are educated and enter the skilled marketplace, fertility rates tend to fall. And it also seems obvious that as satellite and cable television extend their influence, that more women are exposed to the affluence and mindset of low-fertility societies. But is it realistic to expect that trend to penetrate the remaining countries that have proven to be so resistant to modernisation and prosperity?

In other words, what if there exists a hidden factor unexamined by population experts, which renders a culture, nation, society, or tribe immune to most of the forces of population reduction that have impacted half the population of the world? If so, what might that hidden factor be?

Some societies are resistant to the idea of educating girls and women. Further, in some societies women lack the protection of efficacious laws and law enforcement to assert their rights. Even further, in some societies women essentially have no rights.

Worse than all that, some societies are remarkably resistant to efforts to reduce corruption, to provide law and order, to build a prosperous middle class, and to build a sound educational and civic infrastructure. They seem to be immune from a broad based prosperity. It is extremely unlikely that low IQ is the full story behind entire regions stuck in high corruption, low prosperity, high fertility circumstances. But it appears to be a crucially important factor.

If the continuing population growth of the planet is based upon a natural increase within such prosperity-resistant societies, it should be obvious that projecting past population trends upon the future may not be valid.

Perhaps it should also be said that if the USA, Australia, and Europe continue along their current path of wealth destruction via energy starvation, current levels of prosperity in those regions — and everywhere except perhaps China, Brazil, and India — may well not continue. In other words, if government policies are sufficiently suicidal, no amount of population control can save the nation.

The problem should be looked at differently for the developed world vs the third world. In the developed world the problem is one of underpopulation and the inability to sustain basic services — including self defense. Even more ominous, within advanced countries, it is the most intelligent and best educated who are most likely to choose childlessness. The least intelligent and less educated more often choose above-replacement procreation. Such a trend is inherently dysgenic.

So we see this dysgenic trend acting at all levels — regional, national, and international. Interestingly, this trend is not mentioned in either of the triumphal Economist articles. And yet the ongoing reduction of average world population IQ from 90 points to the mid 80s by the middle of the century is one of the most serious problems the world faces.

Ignoring the vitally important in order to highlight the hypothetical and outright fictitious. That is the intellectual life in a politically correct age.
