“Let Us Kill All The Lawyers”

“Let Us Kill All The Lawyers”

I have been amusing myself lately by watching Boston Legal on DVD. The show is an absolute howl, funny as hell, with its insane and degenerate liberal and Jewish attorneys, the senile judges, and the sick and twisted clients. Inadvertently, this show is a clear and penetrating look at our Jewstice system in action, probably cut closer to the bone than the Jewish producers intended, and more accurate and truthful than they realize.

Boston Legal would also serve quite nicely as Exhibit A in the moral case which at some point has be made in America, that all of these people must simply be slaughtered if there is to be any hope for mankind.

There comes a time when a society becomes so sick, so corrupt, its flesh so rotted away from marinating in its own filth and excrement, that the only solution is a bullet to the head, in every sense of the term. No, I am not inciting anyone to do anything illegal or otherwise. I am making a historical observation which is entirely valid, based on mankind’s unfortunate past out here in the real world.

There comes a point in the course of human events where both moral imperative and practical necessity dictate that entire races, nations, and classes of people must be eliminated in toto from the political, social, and economic equations, in order to wrench history back onto the track and keep the whole freight train of civilization from hurtling over a cliff. We reached that point some time ago in America, especially where attorneys and anything to do with our judiciary and criminal justice system is concerned.

I could go off onto a long Alan Shore-type rant as to why this is, but you know something? I don’t think I need to. I think all of you know perfectly well that the legal system in this country is irredeemable and broken beyond repair, and those thieves and liars who serve it are wicked and corrupt beyond all acceptable bounds of human behavior. You know quite well that they deserve only condign punishment and personal destruction for what they have done, and continue to do every day, to this country and the people who inhabit it.

The only reason you do not join me in saying this, never mind doing anything about it, is that you are afraid of their steroid-pumped muscle men and gunmen with the blue serge shirts and the badges. I can’t resist! The big bad policeman might hurt me…waaaaaah!

There is also, of course, the unspoken penalty of being repeatedly sodomized by niggers in a prison cell which is the real way our trembling and terrified White boys are kept in line these days, although no one speaks it aloud.

Except for me, of course. Yes, I will say it. These people we see on Boston Legal, in caricature but true to life caricature, maintain their power through the unspoken but generally understood threat of repeated acts of interracial homosexual rape by brutal black and brown savages. It is a penalty which is nowhere on the statute books, but which is always there looming in the background whenever a White male turns his desperate mind towards justice and freedom in this country.

You want to see who and what rules us, who and what holds our fate in their filth-encrusted hands? Catch Boston Legal. You will laugh so hard you probably won’t even notice when the laughing stops and the weeping begins.

The Madness of Obamacare

The politically correct Judaeo-liberal establishment hates normal people and holds them in contempt, but like all peasants, we have our uses. We work so that all may eat; the liberal lefty elite has big dreams, and we pay.

Politico.com reports: “If you make big bucks – or enjoy alcohol, cigarettes and Coke – the government might hit you up to pay for fixing the nation’s health care system. On Tuesday, the Senate Finance Committee peeked into vending machines and liquor stores, company payrolls and health savings accounts, looking for tax increases as a way to pay for a health overhaul – which could cost more than $1.5 trillion over 10 years.

“Experts thought the big debate might be public plan vs. no public plan. But that may well pale in comparison to the difficulty of settling on a way to finance health care reform…There appeared to be a bubble of support among the experts for taxing bad behavior, including a $2 tax on a pack of cigarettes and a higher excise tax on alcohol.”

Leaving aside whether or not cigarettes and alcohol are necessarily “bad behavior” in every human being and in every circumstance, just who in hell gave these people the right to decide that?

“It’s easy to see why the bad-habits tax was so tempting: Taxing tobacco, junk foods and alcohol could raise $600 billion over 10 years. Lots of other options will also get a look. People who like the tax-free status of their company health benefits could be asked to ante up. Money in the pot: more than $700 billion over 10 years. Treasure the tax benefits from your health savings account?

“Some experts say the accounts encourage excess consumption of health services (all those greedy sick White people, of course, hogging more medical care than their share) – and committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) agreed they’re worth a look. Money in the pot: $60 billion over 10 years.”

Need we even ask whether the Democrats consider the 30 million illegal aliens in our country who use the local emergency room as their primary care for them and their anchor babies to be a form of “excess consumption?”

“A panel of economists presented the committee with a menu of scenarios, from wringing savings out of Medicare and Medicaid to cutting medical costs by reducing sodium levels in packaged foods and at restaurants.”

Sodium is one of the three flavoroids that actually make food taste good. Another item on the left-liberal agenda is eventually to have everyone in the world, or at least all White Americans, subsist entirely on a diet of organic crap that tastes like cardboard and rubber. Apparently delicious food is an evil right-wing luxury, suitable only for wicked and racist White males, and the truly ennobled and enlightened will survive on tofu and dandelion soup for fear of offending Mother Nature by partaking of her bounty. I’m not making this up. I have read gibberish like that in places like Utne Reader.

“Baucus gave one of the clearest signals yet that limiting the tax-free status on employer-based insurance” (which would compete with Obongo’s new government medical bureaucracy and allow some people to stay out of the system) “remains a serious option. Obama opposed it during the campaign and repeatedly went after Republican John McCain for making it the centerpiece of his health care plan.” (Another campaign promise the nigger has violated without a twitch of his krinkly eyebrow.)

“Labor unions are also against it. Yet the idea is attractive because of the money it could generate: $250 billion annually if the deduction was lifted altogether. Baucus insisted a full repeal was not under consideration” (and we all know how honest and truthful Democratic politicians are) “but he said lawmakers must look at the deduction.”

No one can deny that the American health care system is broken, but the Democrats are not the solution. There is no solution which can resolve the crisis and still be politically correct, because of the nature of the crisis.

It is utterly ridiculous to attempt to fix the system without addressing several of the main problems, first and foremost the massive drain placed on America’s medical facilities and resources by millions of illegal aliens. There are also the innumerable problems caused by AIDS. which in tuurn would require addressing the issues of intravenous drug use, largely among blacks, and also the buggery question, since these are the behaviors that transmit HIV.

Finally, there is the immense greed of Big Pharm, who flood the cable waves with ads for patent medicines that most people don’t really need, like so many 19th century snake oil salesmen. (“Ask your doctor about crapzacin! Side effects include leprosy, psychotic homicidal rages, and 48-hour fits of uncontrollable giggling!”) They do this in an effort to convince the rapidly crumbling Baby Boomers that they can live forever, cheat death, and go on grazing in the grass forever.

What Obongo can and will do is make one unholy mess. I hope I can survive the American health care system long enough to watch him crash and burn.

Marching Toward Zombieland

[We actually have a Jewish guest columnist today, pinched from his website at

http://kunstler.com/blog/2009/10/marching-toward-zombieland.html#more

Will Mr. Kunstler get a visit from the Secret Service, like I did when I said some things about The One which were far less "threatening" than this? Of course not. Mr. Kunstler is a Jew, and he is therefore able to say or write whatever he likes without being subjected to such annoyances. Like all of us used to be.]

Marching Toward Zombieland
by James Howard Kunstler

When sober-minded individuals begin to regard an enterprise within a nation as “an enemy of the people” you can bet that some serious blood is going to flow. This is now essentially the situation for the Goldman Sachs company, which last week announced third-quarter earnings of over $3 billion largely derived from converting zero percent loans from taxpayers into zero risk profits off of anything paying more than zero percent in interest, revenue, or dividends.

The “people” across this big country may not have a clue how any of this is done, and there may be much to fault them on from the care-and-feeding of their own bodies to the content of their dreams, but you can’t argue with the fact that they are heavily armed to an extreme. And although it may be hard to measure with precision, one might venture to state that they are increasingly pissed off. How else explain popular entertainments like “Zombieland?”

The political part of what has to date appeared to be an economic problem is resolving into a crisis of authority and legitimacy. When those in charge of a nation’s livelihood prove to be comprehensively false and dishonest, the economic automatically turns political. Nobody believes the bankers anymore, of course, and nobody believes the interlocutors of the bankers – the Federal Reserve chairman, the Secretary of the Treasury, the heads of the SEC and a dozen other regulatory bodies – and increasingly the charming figure in the White House cannot be believed on these issues of the nation’s livelihood.

The questions lately revolve around whether the nation is destroying itself by inflation or deflation – by the willful destruction of the value of our currency to evade the repayment of debt, or by the hapless destruction of households, companies, and governments by default and bankruptcy.

It’s a fire-or-ice debate. Either way the nation is going down as a viable enterprise. The fiction that we can return to a Crate-and-Barrel credit card orgy has sustained the false of heart and mind for some months now, but even that pleasant reverie will come to an end as the foreclosures mount. Only remember, men living in their cars who have lost nearly everything else will still have guns.

All these tensions beat a path into the holiday season when emotions run high, when blessings are counted and sorrows taste most bitter. So the big question now floating above the sheer data of Goldman Sachs profit announcement is: what kind of year-end bonuses will they dare to pay their executives and minions, and how will the “people” react?

It seems to me that conditions are ripening for a bloodbath. The kind of heinous acts that we have feared emanating from foreign “evildoers” since the awful stunt of 9/11/01 are now most likely to come from among our own “people” – a few pounds of Semtex in the lobby of Goldman Sachs’s New York headquarters… a few men with market-grade small arms converted to full-automatic outside on the Wall Street sidewalk one evening at holiday time when the suits are leaving work for the day…. It won’t take much.

President Obama had better strike first. He’s about the only figure left in the whole termite mound who has a shred of even potential credibility left because he still has the power to act. He can instruct the people who work for the executive branch to “claw back” any and all ill-gotten bank bonuses; he can direct the Justice Department to investigate everything from the uses of federal bailouts to grand-scale accounting fraud; he can fire people in high places who have failed to act and lost legitimacy. If he doesn’t do these things soon than he’s finished, too. In the wake of such a failure things will get fractal fast.

The sense that Wall Street has pulled off a coup d’etat and taken over the machinery of the United States is the most powerful meme out there now, and its power is growing in magnitude every day among all classes of Americans. I can’t say how much it reflects reality. Even if it is a result of sheer happenstance – the tragic evolution of an industrial economy into a financial finagling economy – the citizens will still experience it as a stealing of their future.

Whatever else one might say about American culture, it is keenly attuned to a sense of heroes and villains. We take great pride in our ability to blow away the bad guys. And life imitates art, as Oscar Wilde observed. If a zombie virus is on the loose in America, the first infections showed up in the zombie banks, among the zombie bankers.

Watch out, Lloyd Blankfein! Woody is on his way….

Middle Americans Alienated & Radicalized

Middle Americans Alienated & Radicalized

By Patrick J. Buchanan

In the brief age of Obama, we have had truthers,” “birthers,” Tea Party activists and town-hall dissenters.

Comes now, the “Oath Keepers.” And who might they be?

Writes Alan Maimon in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Oath Keepers, depending on where one stands, are “either strident defenders of liberty or dangerous peddlers of paranoia.”[ READY TO REVOLT: Oath Keepers pledges to prevent dictatorship in United States, October 18, 2009]

Formed in March, they are ex-military and police who repledge themselves to defend the Constitution, even if it means disobeying orders. If the U.S. government ordered law enforcement agencies to violate Second Amendment rights by disarming the people, Oath Keepers will not obey.

“The whole point of Oath Keepers is to stop a dictatorship from ever happening here,” says founding father Stewart Rhodes, an ex-Army paratrooper and Yale-trained lawyer. “My focus is on the guys with the guns, because they can’t do it without them.

“We say if the American people decide it’s time for a revolution, we’ll fight with you.”

Prediction: Brother Rhodes is headed for cable stardom.

And if the Pelosi-Reid progressives went postal over town-hall protesters, calling them “un-American,” “Nazis” and “evil-mongers,” one can imagine what they will do with the Oath Keepers.

As with Jimmy Carter’s long range psychoanalysis of Joe Wilson, the reflexive reaction of the mainstream media will likely be that these are militia types, driven to irrationality because America has a black president.

Yet, the establishment’s reaction seems more problematic for the republic than anything the Oath Keepers are up to. For our political and media elite seem to have lost touch with the nation and to be wedded to a vision of America divorced from reality.

Progressives are the folks who, in the 1960s, could easily understand that urban riots that took scores of lives and destroyed billions in property were an inevitable reaction to racism, poverty and despair. They could empathize with the rage of campus radicals who burned down the ROTC building and bombed the Pentagon.

The “dirty, immoral war in Vietnam” explains why the “finest generation we have ever produced” is behaving like this, they said. We must deal with the “root causes” of social disorder.

Yet, they cannot comprehend what would motivate Middle America to distrust its government, for it surely does, as Ron Brownstein reports in the National Journal:

“Whites are not only more anxious, but also more alienated. Big majorities of whites say the past year’s turmoil has diminished their confidence in government, corporations and the financial industry … Asked which institution they trust most to make economic decisions in their interest, a plurality of whites older than 30 pick ‘none’—a grim statement.”[The New Color Line, October 10, 2009(Subscriber)]

Is all this due to Obama’s race?

Even Obama laughs at that. As he told David Letterman, I was already black by the time I was elected. And he not only got a higher share of the white vote than Kerry or Gore, a third of white voters, who said in August 2008 that race was an important consideration in voting, said they were going to vote for Obama.

With black voters going 24 to 1 for Obama, he almost surely won more votes than he lost because of his race.

Moreover, the alienation and radicalization of white America began long before Obama arrived. He acknowledged as much when he explained Middle Pennsylvanians to puzzled progressives in that closed-door meeting in San Francisco.

Referring to the white working-class voters in the industrial towns decimated by job losses, Obama said: “They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Yet, we had seen these folks before. They were Perotistas in 1992, opposed NAFTA in 1993, and blocked the Bush-Kennedy McCain amnesty in 2007.

In their lifetimes, they have seen their Christian faith purged from schools their taxes paid for, and mocked in movies and on TV. They have seen their factories shuttered in the thousands and their jobs outsourced in the millions to Mexico and China. They have seen trillions of tax dollars go for Great Society programs, but have seen no Great Society, only rising crime, illegitimacy, drug use and dropout rates.

They watch on cable TV as illegal aliens walk into their country, are rewarded with free educations and health care, and take jobs at lower pay than American families can live on—then carry Mexican flags in American cities and demand U.S. citizenship.

They see Wall Street banks bailed out as they sweat their next paycheck, then read that bank profits are soaring, and the big bonuses for the brilliant bankers are back. Neither they nor their kids ever benefited from affirmative action, unlike Barack and Michelle Obama.

They see a government in Washington that cannot balance its books, win our wars or protect our borders. The government shovels out trillions to Fortune 500 corporations and banks to rescue the country from a crisis created by the government and Fortune 500 corporations and banks.

America was once their country. They sense they are losing it. And they are right.

You Might Be A Constitutionalist If . . .

You Might Be A Constitutionalist If . . .

By Chuck Baldwin

I originally published this column back in January of 2005. Since then (and especially lately), many people have called and written with requests to republish it. So, with a few minor revisions, here it is.

More than thirty years as a student of American history, constitutional government, and the Holy Bible leads me to the conviction that the two major political parties in this country (at the national level) are equally culpable in stripping America of its founding principles. In my opinion, both the Democrat and Republican parties in Washington, D.C., have zero fidelity to the U.S. Constitution and zero respect for America’s foundational precepts.

In my studied opinion, neither the Democrat nor Republican Party (at the national level) has any intention of slowing the out-of-control expansion of government. Neither party has demonstrated any loyalty to preserving and protecting our constitutional form of government.

Like National Socialists and Soviet Socialists of old, the only thing that concerns Democrats and Republicans today is who is in power. Both are equally willing to destroy the freedoms and liberties of people without conscience or regret as long as their party remains in control.

I am absolutely convinced that without a renewed allegiance to constitutional government and State sovereignty, there can be no resolution to America’s current slide into socialism and oppression. Therefore, it is critical that we cast aside our infatuation with partisan politics and steadfastly stand firm for the principles of federalism and freedom, as did America’s founders.

Might you be a modern-day Minuteman who understands the principles of freedom and federalism? I offer the following test. Read it and see if you, too, are a Constitutionalist. (Yes, Martha, this is another Jeff Foxworthy spin-off.)

  1. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that every congressman, senator, President, and Supreme Court justice is required to obey the U.S. Constitution.
  2. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that before the United States invades and occupies another country, Congress must first declare war.
  3. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe the federal government should live within its means, like everyone else is forced to do.
  4. You might be a Constitutionalist if you think that taking away people’s liberties in the name of security is not patriotic, nor does it make the country more secure.
  5. You might be a Constitutionalist if you would like to see politicians be forced to abide by the same laws they make everyone else submit to.
  6. You might be a Constitutionalist if you understand that we have three “separate but equal” branches of government that are supposed to hold each other in check and balance.
  7. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that the federal government has no authority to be involved in education or law enforcement, or in any other issue that the Tenth Amendment reserves to the States, or to the People.
  8. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that gun control laws do nothing but aid and abet criminals while trampling the rights and freedoms of law-abiding citizens.
  9. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that the income tax is both unconstitutional and immoral, and, along with the I.R.S. and the Federal Reserve, should be abolished.
  10. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe the federal government had no authority to tell former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore that he could not display a monument containing the Ten Commandments in the Alabama Judicial Building in Montgomery; or to tell a Pace, Florida, high school principal that he could not pray before a meal.
  11. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that Congress or the White House or any sovereign State is not required to submit to unconstitutional Supreme Court rulings.
  12. You might be a Constitutionalist if you understand that freedom has nothing in common with illegal immigration.
  13. You might be a Constitutionalist if you understand that outsourcing American jobs overseas is not good for America.
  14. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that the United States should get out of the United Nations and get the United Nations out of the United States.
  15. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that it is not unconstitutional for children in public schools to pray or read the Bible.
  16. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that the Boy Scouts are not a threat to America.
  17. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that the federal government should honor its commitments to America’s veterans and stop using U.S. military personnel as guinea pigs for testing drugs and chemicals.
  18. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that U.S. troops should never serve under foreign commanders or wear the uniform or insignia of the United Nations, and that they must never submit to illegal orders, such as turning their weapons against American citizens, or confiscating the guns of U.S. citizens.
  19. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that the federal government has no business bribing churches and faith-based organizations with federal tax dollars.
  20. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that federal agents who murder American citizens should be held to the same laws and punishments that any other citizen would be held to. (Can anyone say, “Waco” and “Ruby Ridge”?)
  21. You might be a Constitutionalist if you understand that NAFTA, GATT, the WTO, and the FTAA (and similar agreements) are disastrous compromises of America’s national sovereignty and independence.
  22. You might be a Constitutionalist if you would like to see congressmen and senators be required to actually read a bill before passing it into law.
  23. You might be a Constitutionalist if you understand that it is the job of government to protect and secure God-given rights, not use its power to take those rights away.
  24. You might be a Constitutionalist if you understand that there is nothing unconstitutional about the public acknowledgement of God and our Christian heritage.
  25. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that government bailouts and stimulus expenditures defy virtually every principle of free enterprise and are a flagrant leap into socialism.
  26. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that airport screeners have no business touching women’s breasts, using sophisticated machinery to look through passengers’ clothing to see their naked bodies, confiscating fingernail clippers, or denying pilots from carrying handguns.
  27. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that many public schools’ “zero-tolerance” policies are just plain stupid.
  28. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that parents have a right to homeschool their children.
  29. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that governmental seizure of private property is plain, old-fashioned thievery.
  30. You might be a Constitutionalist if you are personally determined to not submit to any kind of forced vaccination.
  31. You might be a Constitutionalist if you oppose any kind of national health insurance.
  32. You might be a Constitutionalist if you believe that U.S. troops are not the world’s policemen, that they are not “nation-builders,” and that their purpose is only to defend American lives and property, not to be the enforcement arm of international commercial interests or global elitists.
  33. You might be a Constitutionalist if you understand that the county Sheriff is the highest law enforcement officer of his district and that federal law enforcement (much of which is unconstitutionally organized, anyway) is obligated to submit to his authority.
  34. You might be a Constitutionalist if you are determined to oppose America’s merger with any kind of regional, hemispheric, or international government, such as the North American Union.
  35. You might be a Constitutionalist if you oppose sending billions of taxpayer dollars as foreign aid; the U.S. State Department meddling into the private affairs of foreign countries; and ubiquitous foreign entanglements that require vast sums of money, create animosity and hostility towards us, and expose us to foreign wars and conflicts in which we have no national interest.
  36. You might be a Constitutionalist if you would like to meet one single congressman or senator besides Ron Paul who acts as if he or she has ever read the U.S. Constitution.

Well, how did you fare? Are you a Constitutionalist? If so, your country desperately needs you to stand up and fight for freedom’s principles before they are forever taken from us. This means never again voting for anyone—from any party—who will not preserve, protect, and defend the U.S. Constitution. So, don’t just take the test; make the pledge!

Are You Ready for the Next Crisis?

Are You Ready for the Next Crisis?

The Financo-State

By Paul Craig Roberts

Evidence that the US is a failed state is piling up faster than I can record it.

One conclusive hallmark of a failed state is that the crooks are inside the government, using government to protect and to advance their private interests.

Another conclusive hallmark is rising income inequality as the insiders manipulate economic policy for their enrichment at the expense of everyone else.

Income inequality in the US is now the most extreme of all countries.  The 2008 OECD report, “Income Distribution and Poverty in OECD Countries,” [PDF]concludes that the US is the country with the highest inequality and poverty rate across the OECD and that since 2000 nowhere has there been such a stark rise in income inequality as in the US.

The OECD finds that in the US the distribution of wealth is even more unequal than the distribution of income.

On October 21, 2009, Business Week reported that a new report from the United Nations Development Program concluded that the US ranked third among states with the worst income inequality.  As number one and number two, Hong Kong and Singapore, are both essentially city states, not countries, the US actually has the shame of being the country with the most inequality in the distribution of income.

The stark increase in US income inequality in the 21st century coincides with the offshoring of US jobs, which enriched executives with “performance bonuses” while impoverishing the middle class, and with the rapid rise of unregulated OTC derivatives, which enriched Wall Street and the financial sector at the expense of everyone else.

Millions of Americans have lost their homes and half of their retirement savings while being loaded up with government debt to bail out the banksters who created the derivative crisis.

Frontline’s October 21 broadcast, “The Warning,” documents how Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, Deputy Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Arthur Levitt blocked Brooksley Born, head of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, from performing her statutory duties and regulating OTC derivatives.

After the worst crisis in US financial history struck, just as Brooksley Born said it would, a disgraced Alan Greenspan was summoned out of retirement to explain to Congress his unequivocal assurances that no regulation of derivatives was necessary.  Greenspan had even told Congress that regulation of derivatives would be harmful.  A pathetic Greenspan had to admit that the free market ideology on which he had relied turned out to have a flaw.

Greenspan may have bet our country on his free market ideology, but does anyone believe that Rubin and Summers were doing anything other than protecting the enormous fraud-based profits that derivatives were bringing Wall Street?  As Brooksley Born stressed, OTC derivatives are a “dark market.” There is no transparency. Regulators have no information on them and neither do purchasers.

Even after Long Term Capital Management blew up in 1998 and had to be bailed out, Greenspan, Rubin, and Summers stuck to their guns. Greenspan, Rubin and Summers, and a roped-in gullible Arthur Levitt who now regrets that he was the banksters’ dupe, succeeded in manipulating a totally ignorant Congress into blocking the CFTC from doing its mandated job. Brooksley Born, prevented by the public’s elected representatives from protecting the public, resigned.  Wall Street money simply shoved facts and honest regulators aside, guaranteeing government inaction and the financial crisis that hit in 2008 and continues to plague our economy today.

The financial insiders running the Treasury, White House, and Federal Reserve shifted to taxpayers the cost of the catastrophe that they had created.  When the crisis hit, Henry Paulson, appointed by President Bush as Rubin’s replacement as the Goldman Sachs representative running the US Treasury, hyped fear to obtain from “our” representatives in Congress with no questions asked hundreds of billions of taxpayers’ dollars (TARP money)  to bail out Goldman Sachs and the other malefactors of unregulated derivatives.

When Goldman Sachs recently announced that it was paying massive six- and seven-figure bonuses to every employee, public outrage erupted.  In defense of banksters, saved with the public’s money, paying themselves bonuses in excess of most people’s life-time earnings, Lord Griffiths, Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs International, said that the public must learn to “tolerate the inequality as a way to achieve greater prosperity for all.”[Public must learn to 'tolerate the inequality' of bonuses, says Goldman Sachs vice-chairman]

In other words, “Let them eat cake.”

According to the UN report cited above, Great Britain has the 7th most unequal income distribution in the world. After the Goldman Sachs bonuses, the British will move up in distinction, perhaps rivalling Israel for the fourth spot in the hierarchy.

Despite the total insanity of unregulated derivatives, the high level of public anger, and Greenspan’s confession to Congress, still nothing has been done to regulate derivatives.

One of Rubin’s Assistant Treasury Secretaries, Gary Gensler, has replaced Brooksley Born as head of the CFTC.  Larry Summers is the head of President Obama’s National Economic Council.  Former Federal Reserve official Timothy Geithner, a Paulson protege, runs the Obama Treasury.  A Goldman Sachs vice president, Adam Storch, has been appointed the chief operating officer of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Banksters are still in charge.

Is there another country in which in full public view so few so blatantly use government for the enrichment of private interests, with a coterie of “free market” economists available to justify plunder on the grounds that “the market knows best”?

A narco-state is bad enough.  The US surpasses this horror with its financo-state.

As Brooksley Born says, if nothing is done, “it’ll happen again.”

But nothing can be done.  The crooks have the government.

[PCR Note:  The OECD report shows that despite the Reagan tax rate reduction, the rate of increase in US income inequality declined during the Reagan years.  During the mid-1990s the Gini coefficient (the measure of income inequality) actually fell.  Beginning in 2000 with the New Economy (essentially financial fraud and offshoring of US jobs), the Gini coefficient shot up sharply.]
