The taxpayer financed left-wing propaganda machine is re-airing documentaries on Haiti that bring out the typical condescending white liberal Negrophile liberal arts professors.

One of the outlandish tales being told is of the great “African Spartacus.” These condescending whites proudly boast that Haiti would be a great nation today if Toussaint hadn’t been “exiled and replaced by a series of despots.”

Let’s examine this “African Spartacus.”

1. Toussaint was a house servant to a wealthy French family who freed him at the age of 33. Toussaint protected his former owners from being murdered by a black mob around 1793 and took them to safety in Hispaniola.

2. Toussaint became wealthy and owned two plantations, which included many Negro slaves. Toussaint was a devoted Catholic, a member of the Freemasons, and a supporter of the French. Toussaint saw himself as the natural leader of Haiti’s black population and thought he could teach them to be more like the French. He chastised Haiti’s blacks for their behavior, especially the practice of voodoo. He took the ego-maniacal name “L’Ouverture,” which means “to show the way.”

3. In 1791, the voodoo priest Boukamn held a rally commonly called “Haiti’s pact with the devil.” He sacrificed a pig and led his followers in drinking the pig’s blood. He called his followers to “cast down the image of the white God.” All in attendance swore an oath to launch a murderous racial cleansing of the island in two weeks.

4. The followers of Boukamn went on a rampage burning hundreds of plantations and murdering about 2,000 whites. Boukamn was killed on the third week and his followers fled into the woods.

5. The French parliament, which had already been considering freeing all the colonial slaves, passed an anti-slavery bill one year later. Freed slaves in Haiti were granted French citizenship and a plan was put into place for a phasing out of slavery. France sent three new pro-abolition commissioners to Haiti to enforce the new act.

6. The slaves in rebellion continued to fight. Toussaint was given special permission from the French rulers to move about the island. He tried to organize the surrender of the slaves in rebellion and restore French control to the whole island. In 1793, Toussaint and a small group of followers took possession of 200 white captives. They turned them over to the French and offered a treaty where Toussaint and his right hand men would be given positions of leadership over the rest of the Negro population in exchange for ordering the slaves to return to their plantations and go back to work. No one believed that the slaves in rebellion would really do this, and the offer was turned down.

7. In 1794 the French parliament freed all slaves in all their territories. Toussaint joined the French army in 1794 and led pro-French Negros in fighting the Spanish and the British. A spill over from the Napoleonic wars in Europe.

8. Toussaint became a Brigadier General in the French army and helped win battles against the Spanish. Toussaint also suppressed multiple black led anti-French and secessionist uprisings on the island. In 1798 the British withdrew from the Island, but signed a secret trade agreement with Toussaint that included supplying him with weapons. During this time Toussaint sent two of his sons to schools in France.

9. In 1801 he was in control of Haiti and wrote his own constitution. In his constitution he declares that all Haitian’s were citizens of France and outlaws voodoo.

10. In July, 1801 he overran Hispaniola with his troops and called for a united pro-French island. He dubbed himself “Governor-General” (for life) with the powers of a dictator. He asked for and was granted approval of his titled from Napoleon. In a letter he assured Napoleon that he was a loyal French citizen and started the letter with “”From the First of the Blacks to the First of the Whites.”

11. Napoleon decided that the island would never regain it’s profitability under black rule and sent his brother in law to assume control one year later. Toussaint’s army completely evaporated when more French troops landed. Toussaint was arrested and taken to France where he died of pneumonia.

12. In 1804, Napoleon abandoned the New World because he needed the troops in Europe. One out of every three French troops sent to Haiti died of disease. All whites, Mulattoes, and Mestizos, who didn’t flee the island in time were mass murdered. Like Napoleon predicted, the Haitians have never restored the profitability of the island. Once its single most profitable tract of land, Haiti has consistently been the most dismal place in the Western Hemisphere ever since.

13. In the early days of the American civil rights movement, Toussaint was denounced by American black leaders as one of the biggest “uncle Toms” in history. It is only more recently that white liberals have attempted to re-write him as one of the great leaders of Negro rights.

A while back we reported that Israel had halted African immigration claiming that Ethiopian immigrants had failed to assimilate. Today, Africans attempting to get into Israel are promptly deported. Many are even shot by the Egyptian border patrol who say they are under pressure from the Israel government to halt the flow of illegals.

A new report claims that 57% of women who are taking Depo-Provera, a three month birth control injection, in Israel are Ethiopian immigrants.

Israel government documents allegedly show that the use of Depo-Provera has skyrocketed three fold in the past few years. Ethiopian immigrants accounts for less than 2% of the population of Israel, but 57% of Depo-Provera. This statistic suggests that Ethiopian immigrants have been targeted as part of an eugenics program.

Eugenics programs were once common in the US and Europe during the 20’s and 30’s. However, they were for preventing those with extremely low IQs from having children. After WWII advocates of eugenics were denounced as “nazis” and “racists.” Programs were completely eliminated and some US states even paid financial compensation to people who had been subjected to forced birth control.

Depo-Provera is manufactured by Pfizer. Women receive an injection in the thigh four times a year. Once injections stop, it usually takes 9-10 months for fertility to return. 30 million women have used it since 1967, however it was not given FDA approval until 1992. The drug is now used in 90 different countries, most heavily in India and the third world.

Much has changed in the world since this site was launched. The God-like ability of one Mien Obama is apparently gone, and it appears his ascension to the presidency is but a Pyrrhic victory for Black people.

The Haitian Earthquake – a tragedy to be sure, but Haiti and its Black population already was an exhibition of calamity before the Richter scale picked up the first tremors – has showcased to the world the truth of what happens when Black people are in charge.

Hurricane Katrina gave us a few glimpses, but Haiti sheds a light on one of the oldest Black people run nations on earth that penetrates deep into the falsities that protect egalitarianism and give fodder to those who can see.

Black people in America understand this, and despite a deep connection with the plight of the Haitians, realize the Black faces that continually are shown on television in horrific, squalid conditions from Port-au-Prince showcase the global condition of their race in poetic exactness.

Disingenuous White Liberals (DWL) are working overtime to increase the already incredibly generous donations that are sent by more than 10000 organizations annually (this was before the earthquake mind you, much like the complete lack of sanitary drinking water in Haiti BEFORE the ‘quake) to sustain a population of 9 million Black people who are incapable of sustaining themselves.

It’s time to bring up a phrase that applies directly to this crisis – that affects Black people only and is merely prolonged by the intrusion of pity-intoxicated, self-righteous palefaces – and is the reason why Black people don’t like global warming and its implications: Malthusian Catastrophe.

Few people dare bring up Thomas Malthus anymore, for population explosions are occurring among only the colored masses of the world (Africa, China, India) and anytime Stuff White People Like individuals discuss global warming they find themselves entering a world where race realism is the white elephant they dare not mention.

What did Malthus predict?:

A Malthusian catastrophe (also called a Malthusian check, crisis, disaster, or nightmare) was originally foreseen to be a forced return to subsistence-level conditions once population growth had outpaced agricultural production. Later formulations consider economic growth limits as well…

A series that is increasing in geometric progression is defined by the fact that the ratio of any two successive members of the sequence is a constant. For example, a population with an average annual growth rate of, say, 2% will grow by a ratio of 1.02 per year. In other words, the ratio of each year’s population to the previous year’s population will be 1.02. In modern terminology, a population that is increasing in geometric progression is said to be experiencing exponential growth.

Alternately, in an arithmetic progression, any two successive members of the sequence have a constant difference. In modern terminology, this is called linear growth.

If unchecked over a sufficient period of time, and if the ratio between successive sequence members is larger than 1.0, then exponential growth will always outrun linear growth. Malthus saw the difference between population growth and resource growth as being analogous to this difference between exponential and linear growth. Even when a population inhabits a new habitat – such as the American continent at Malthus’ time, or when recovering from wars and epidemic plagues – the growth of population will eventually reach the limit of the resource base.”

Watching the Haitian earthquake unfold on television screens in the United States leaves DWLs feeling queasy and desirous of hearing “We are the World” and “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” for they only feel pride and a sense of emotional self-worth when they showcase their moral superiority over those unenlightened souls who dare point out that no amount of money could ever save Haiti (indeed, billions upon billions have done little over the past 30 years).

Worse, a film depicts the Malthusian principle at work profoundly and works to belie the notion of egalitarianism in a manner few Black people wish to admit. District 9, a film set in South Africa, shows us the most distressing situation where an impoverished alien race lands on earth and inconveniences the citizens of that nation with their increased crime and reliance on handouts to sustain their race:

“If you look at the film as an apartheid allegory, it has problems right off the bat. The aliens are loathsome, trash-eating vermin who fight endlessly, destroy property for no reason, and piss on their own homes, which isn’t a truthful or flattering allegorical comparison for actual black South Africans under apartheid.

Apartheid is terrible because humans were denied rights. The “apartheid” of these aliens isn’t that terrible – it’s kind of justifiable, because they’re actually dangerous, violent and destructive.”

Sadly, this description of the aliens in the film has a correlation to the behavior of Black people in Haiti and post-apartheid South Africa (and New Orleans and Detroit) that few wish to admit:

“It was lunchtime in one of Haiti’s worst slums and Charlene Dumas was eating mud.

With food prices rising, Haiti’s poorest can’t afford even a daily plate of rice, and some take desperate measures to fill their bellies.”

This story is dated from 2008, before the tragic quake hit Haiti. This story is after the earthquake:

“Sanitary conditions in tent cities like this one in Port-au-Prince’s once elegant Champs de Mars park around Haiti’s crumbled presidential palace are worsening by the day as hundreds of thousands of survivors of last week’s earthquake cram together to eat, sleep, wash and defecate.

“It’s miserable here. It’s dirty and it’s boring. There’s nothing to do but walk about,” said Judeline Pierre-Rose, 12, who misses her comfortable home with its couch and TV.

“People go to the toilet everywhere here and I’m scared of getting sick. My twin sisters vomited last night,” she said.”

When Black people became the rulers of South Africa, a once-glorious 54-story building in Johannesburg – Ponte Tower – was reduced to the world’s largest trashcan:

“Life in the building became truly brutal after the fall of Apartheid. As crime rose in the once-upscale Hillbrow neighborhood, numerous gangs moved into building. Ponte Tower became a center of organized crime activity, and life in the building become extremely unsafe. Owners all but abandoned the structure to decay. At one point the garbage piled five stories high in the open inner courtyard of the building.”

Yes, five stories of trash piled up inside the Ponte Tower after Black people took over the everyday affairs in South Africa. And worse, Haiti too has had tremendous trash problems as NPR pointed out in 2007!:

“First, we’re starting with garbage. Haiti’s trash collection system is so bad that on the streets of the capital, Port-au-Prince, garbage blocks roads and clogs the city’s drainage system and canals.”

Worse, garbage and deforestation were leading to an ecological disaster that would have startled even Malthus (and this was all before the earthquake!), all eerily similar to the condition of the Ponte Tower and the city that recently saw the Pontiac Silverdome go for $500,000.

District 9 has come alive in Haiti, and a place that few wish exists is now center-stage for the entire world to see, and yet some families in America are working overtime to bring kids from Haiti to this nation, thus proving SBPDL’s view on adoption. It was that evil Steve Sailer who first pointed out the connections between that film and dire population warnings:

“A screen title at the end of the movie reveals that since the events depicted, the number of aliens (who are, by the way, bigger and hungrier than humans) has grown to 2.5 million. That’s up from 1.8 million just three years before.

Blomkamp may not have chosen those numbers randomly. At this 11.5 percent annual growth rate, the number of aliens on Earth crosses the 100,000,000,000 mark in exactly 100 years.”

Most strange is the phenomenon of dirt eating that had overtaken Black people in Haiti prior to the earthquake, which is extraordinarily similar to actions undertaken by Black people in the United States of America. Geophagia is a trait that is a Black one:

“Rena Bronson of Macon comes home from work and makes a pot of coffee before sneaking off to the bathroom to feed her habit. She pulls out a plastic baggie full of hard, crumbling white chunks and then pops a piece in her mouth.

“I eat dirt with the door closed,” she said, laughing and a little embarrassed because she is a nurse at the Bibb County Health Department. “I just call it eating dirt. That’s what I do. Every day that God sends that’s what I do. Technically, I guess I’m supposed to be crazy for eating this stuff?”

The “dirt” in question is kaolin, a white clay mined in Georgia and South Carolina that is used for everything from making ceramics and textiles to diarrhea medicine. For decades, it has also been a folk medicine that pregnant women, particularly black women in the rural South, have used to combat cravings during pregnancy. A recent study published in the Southern Medical Journal argues that kaolin-eating should be classed as a particular kind of problem known as a “culture-bound syndrome,”…

Haiti as a true version of the aliens in District 9 is a difficult point that must be made, for Ponte Tower and Haiti both have one thing in common: a lot of Black people and an incredible amount of trash.

We have stated without sports, any positive images of Black people would be difficult to find. Without charity, Haiti would scarcely exist. Without pity, where would Black people in any nation and for that matter, Africa, be? That question is one that is the Stuff Black People Don’t Like to hear.

When you pop in District 9 in your DVD player, try not to think of Haiti. We dare you.

Few shows resonate with the general public like the ones broadcast on Music Television (MTV). Consider the incredible popularity of Real World, a reality show in its 24 season that puts diverse young adults into a remarkably beautiful home and merely rolls the camera as the drama unfolds.

Black people love these shows, because Token Blacks appear in each season and bring a semblance of peace to the show and act as the beacon of morality.

However, one show is currently airing on MTV that Black people find befuddling, for it appears to be a show about white people, yet curiously, the white people have a rather dark tint to their skin that can’t be explained away by prolonged exposure to tanning beds.

Yes, SBPDL is bringing up Jersey Shore, a show so incredibly mind-numbing that one finds illumination in the commercials between each episode:

Jersey Shore is a reality television series on MTV that follows eight housemates spending their summer on the New Jersey Shore. The show was filmed in August 2009 in a summer share in Seaside Heights but was also filmed in other towns such as Toms River and Neptune. It follows the eight housemates in a Real World-type style while they live, work and party at the Jersey Shore. The show debuted amid large amounts of controversy regarding the use of the words “Guido/Guidette”, portrayals of Italian-American stereotypes and scrutiny from locals because the cast members are not residents from the area.

Americans of Italian descent have found the show incredibly offensive, for the varying personalities on the show all reflect certain aspects of Italian-American subculture that the gatekeepers of Italian refinement wish to be kept secret:

“The show plays upon the stereotype of the guido, prompting criticism from groups such as the National Italian American Foundation,[62][63] UNICO National,[64] and the Order Sons of Italy in America[64] for using “ethnic slurs, violence and poor behavior to marginalize and stereotype Italian-Americans“.[3][64] Prior to the premiere of the show UNICO asked MTV to cancel the show because of the apparent play on stereotypes from the promos.[65] UNICO National President Andre DiMino said that the behavior in the promos is offensive and stereotype-promoting and that “MTV is using very pejorative terms, ‘Guido’ and ‘Guidette,’ to promote a program and as a corporation that is not correct.”[66] After the show premiered, UNICO National claims they “can’t keep up with the volume of calls” from “outraged” Italian Americans.[67]

UNICO National President Andre DiMino said in a statement “MTV has festooned the ‘bordello-like’ house set with Italian flags and red, white and green maps of New Jersey while every other cutaway shot is of Italian signs and symbols. They are blatantly as well as subliminally bashing Italian-Americans with every technique possible. … (The cast members) are an embarrassment to themselves, their heritage and their families.[64]

Linda Stasi, an Italian-American New York Post columnist, criticized MTV saying that Jersey Shore is a show “…in which Italian-Americans are stereotyped (clearly at the urging of its producer) into degrading and debasing themselves — and, by extension, all Italian-Americans — and furthering the popular TV notion that Italian-Americans are gel-haired, thuggish, ignoramuses with fake tans, no manners, no diction, no taste, no education, no sexual discretion, no hairdressers (for sure), no real knowledge of Italian culture and no ambition beyond expanding steroid-and silicone-enhanced bodies into sizes best suited for floating over Macy’s on Thanksgiving.”

Wait, what exactly is a guido?:

Guido is a slang term for a working class urban Italian American. The guido stereotype is multi-faceted. Primarily, it is used as a demeaning term towards Italian Americans, as the word guido is derived from either the Italian proper name Guido or a conjugation of the Italian verb guidare.

Yet, all the fuss over the continued denigration of Italians on Jersey Shore is lost when one views the show, for the participants appear to have incredibly dark skin that shockingly might not pass the paper bag test.

Some of the individuals of Italian descent appear to be light-skinned Black people and their cultural predilections appear to coincide with the Black ghetto norms.

Why is that? Why do these white people look Black? Well, we have the Moors who conquered Sicily to thank for that and these “Italians” on Jersey Shore all appear to have a plethora of Sicilian blood pumping through their veins:

The Arabs, who in medieval times were sometimes called “Saracens” or “Moors,” have been identified since antiquity (in Assyrian records dated to circa 850 BC), but until the Middle Ages they were not unified as a people. In the Early Middle Ages, it was Islam that united the Arabs and established the framework of Arab law. Initially, most Muslims were Arabs, and during the Arab rule of Sicily their Islamic faith was closely identified with them. (Even today, many principles believed to be tenets of Islam are, in fact, Arab practices unrelated to Muslim ethics.)

The rapid growth of Arab culture could be said to parallel the dissemination of Islam. Except for some poetry, the first major work of literature published entirely in Arabic was the Koran (Quran), the holy book of Islam, and one may loosely define Arabs by the regions where Arabic was spoken in the Middle Ages and afterwards. Arabs were a Semitic people of the Middle East. The Berbers of northwest Africa and the Sahara were not Arabs, though many converted to Islam, adopted Arabic as their language and assimilated with Arab society. Though most parts of Sicily were conquered by Arabs, certain areas where settled by people who, strictly speaking, were Muslim Berbers. Like many Berbers, some Arabs were nomadic.

Wait, you may be wondering, what does this mean? Simply put, genetic evidence through DNA sequencing shows that modern-day Italians of Sicilian descent carry an abnormally large amount of African mtDNA and more so, genetic evidence from the Y chromosome– lineage in Sicily confirms the presence of Black ancestry.

Thus, why the Jersey Shore stars lack the skin tone of white people and reflect the darker pigmentation of their great, great, great ancestors.

Perhaps, a scene from True Romance can best punctuate the reality of Sicilians and how this relates to Jersey Shore. The scene has Christopher Walken – playing a Sicilian – and Dennis Hopper discuss the history of Sicily. Hopper’s character knows he is about to die, so he lets history speak for itself:

Coccotti: Sicilians are great liars. The best in the world. I’m a Sicilian. And my old man was the world heavyweight champion of Sicilian liars. And from growin’ up with him I learned the pantomime. Now there are seventeen different things a guy can do when he lies to give him away. A guy has seventeen pantomimes. A woman’s got twenty, but a guy’s got seventeen. And if you know ’em like ya know your own face, they beat lie detectors to hell. What we got here is a little game of show and tell. You don’t wanna show me nothin’. But you’re tellin’ me everything. Now I know you know where they are. So tell me, before I do some damage you won’t walk away from.

Clifford: Could I have one of those Chesterfields now?

Coccotti: Sure.

Clifford: Got a match? Oh, don’t bother. I got one.

Coccotti: …your son, the cowboy, it’s claimed, came in the room blazin’, and didn’t stop ’till they were pretty sure everybody was dead…

Clifford: You’re Sicilian, huh?

Coccotti: Yeah, Sicilian.

Clifford: You know, I read a lot. Especially about things that have to do with history. I find that shit fascinating. Here’s a fact, I don’t know if you know or not, Sicilians were spawned by niggers.
Coccotti: Come again?

Clifford: It’s a fact. You see, Sicilians have black blood pumpin’ through their hearts. If you don’t believe me, you can look it up. Hundreds and hundreds of years ago, you see, the Moors conquered Sicily. And Moors are niggers.

Coccotti: Yes…

Clifford: So you see, way back then, uh, Sicilians were like, uh, wops from Northern Italy. Ah, they all had blonde hair and blue eyes, but, uh, well, then the Moors moved in there, and uh, well, they changed the whole country. They did so much fuckin’ with Sicilian women, huh? That they changed the whole bloodline forever. That’s why blonde hair and blue eyes became black hair and dark skin. You know, it’s absolutely amazing to me to think that to this day, hundreds of years later, that, uh, that Sicilians still carry that nigger gene. Now this…[Coccotti laughs]

Clifford: No, I’m, no, I’m quoting… history. It’s written. It’s a fact, it’s written.
Coccotti: [laughing] I love this guy.

Clifford: Your ancestors are niggers. Uh-huh. Hey. Yeah. And, and your great-great-great-great grandmother fucked a nigger, ho, ho, yeah, and she had a half-nigger kid… now, if that’s a fact, tell me, am I lying? ‘Cause you, you’re part eggplant.

Coccotti: Ohhh!

Clifford: Huh? Hey! Hey! Hey!

Coccotti: You’re a cantaloupe. [shoots Cliff in the face]

Jersey Shore is a show that people find funny, amusing and infuriating. But Black people find it perplexing, for these purported Italians have a strange look to them that can only be explained through the prodigious copulation rates of the Moors and the white people in Sicily.

Stuff Black People Don’t Like includes Jersey Shore, for the “white people” featured in the show carry the genetic markers of their Moorish ancestry and, if the one-drop rule is in effect, are really Black people.

Thus, the strange behavior of the characters on the show shouldn’t create consternation among Americans of Italian descent, but merely infuriate Black people everywhere.Hey, are we lying?

Gringos here in Mexico talk endlessly about how they love and admire the Mexican people, how friendly the natives are, how wonderful the culture is and, by strong implication, how wonderful the gringos are for appreciating Mexico. Actually they don’t. They live in gated communities in the hills, can’t speak three words of Spanish, and have surprisingly little contact with the country. They have invented a Mexico that doesn’t exist, and have fallen in love with it.

Thus many of their ideas about Mexicans are wrong, compounded equally of ideology and wishful thinking. The same happens in America. This will one day give birth to surprising children.

The truth is that Mexicans are about like people the world over, which means that regarding them with syrupy condescension as fuzzy heartwarming Pedros and Marias is a mistake. They don’t much like Americans, regarding them as arrogant and rich. The distaste is no more than distaste: they do not dream of lynching Yanquis. Nonetheless, regarding Mexico as a nation of smiling maids and obedient gardeners overlooks a somewhat darker picture. They would not be quite so smiling and obedient if they had a better economic choice.

An interesting observation: In five years I have encountered no hostility from Mexicans who have always lived in Mexico. The five or six men who were aggressively hostile all spoke barrio English. They had spent time in the US. Think about it.

The US would be well advised to take certain realities into account when it ponders today’s unrestricted immigration. Those who favor immigration tend to hold an idealized view of the newcomers. They are so-o-o-o hardworking! Yes, in the first generation. They just want a better life! So they do. They are just like Italian and Polish immigrants of the last century. No, they are not. They are Mexicans.

Mexico is a third-world country-yes, an upper third-world Latin American country, functioning reasonably well, and not Haiti or Bangladesh. It’s a nice place to live, which is why a half million North Americans are here. Yet Mexico is very, very different from America. If America and England are a few inches apart, Americans and France a few more, Mexico is several feet off in the distance.

While gringos and Mexicans live next to each other here in amity, they do not mix. They can’t. A retired executive from Boeing has nothing in common with a man with a fourth-grade education who will never read a book in his life. Pepe is smiling and amiable while working in the garden. He is also a grown man, not a teddy bear. If the retired engineer met Pepe in Pepe’s favorite bar, the engineer might come to a very different understanding of Pepe.

It is one thing to have Mexicans in America while they still fearful of being deported. They are polite and brown and eager to work. This encourages the tendency to which Americans are prone, to patronize them as just the nicest babysitters and garbage men. Why, they are almost like real people.

It will be a different thing when they are legal and have a voting majority in the Southwest. They understand perfectly that their day is coming. A couple of years back I listened on the radio to a Mexican-American politician from Texas. He pointed out that when the Mexican children now in school reach the age of eighteen, they will control the government of the state. He was not hostile, did not say as Barack Obama’s minister did, “God damn America.” Yet he saw what was coming, and was well pleased. From the Mexican point of view, they are getting back states which rightly belong to them.

They assuredly are. Shortly the US will have a southern tier of states under Mexican-American control.

The hopeful idea is that they will meld as did the Irish and Italians and Vietnamese. The flaw in this happy ointment is that they do very poorly in school-better than blacks, but well below whites and Asians. This is not a problem of the first generation only, in which case it might eventually cure itself, but of later generations also. It looks innate, or at least as if it will continue. Then what?

Then they will have no choice but to be waiters and garbage collectors. The first generation will tolerate it, happy to be making what seems to them good money. A few will succeed and move up. Most won’t. The second generation, relegated forever to jobs of low pay and less esteem, will become resentful. Inevitably they will see the relegation as indicating discrimination, not incapacity. The young, unable to compete, will gravitate toward others who can’t and we will have another permanent underclass. If you don’t believe me, watch.

The United States advertises itself as a land of opportunity, and in fact is, but only for the bright. A poor kid who pops 1500 on his SATs can get into a good university and come out as anything he chooses. Universities look for such students. A kid who barely reads has no chance. For him, there are no opportunities.

Why is it unlikely that the immigrants will improve scholastically? For reasons a fair few understand but nobody talks about. Intelligence. Mexico consists of three layers, or maybe two layers with a spectrum between. The governing class is white, and at about the European level on IQ tests, not surprising because they are European. You have the mestizos, who do conspicuously less well, and the pure Indians, lower yet. The white upper class is not swimming the river.

IQ is a forbidden topic, but it tracks reality depressingly well. No country below Laredo has ever produced anything important in the sciences. And while in any group there are exceptions, it is the majority who determine social results. This bears thinking about. Reality does not respect politics. Holding one’s breath and turning blue will change nothing. Insisting that something can’t be so or shouldn’t be so doesn’t change whether it is so.

Inequality can be seen in the streets here. In Guadalajara, una ciudad muy guera, a very white city, you have highly sophisticated people who talk of the arts on the radio as intelligently as any in America. They go to the opera, buy in good bookstores, and serve competently as doctors and technicians. In the villages you find people with far more Indian blood and almost no academic achievement or interest. Out in the hills there is, dead serious, a lot of witchcraft.

me to listen to the same old arguments of the 1960s being rehashed once
again as part of Bill Clinton’s supposedly new national “dialogue” on
race. It so happens that I have spent the past 16 years researching and
writing a series of three books on race and culture around the world.
What I found in the course of this long project contradicts virtually
everything that is being said and assumed in the one-sided “dialogue”
being conducted by Clinton and his supporters. At the heart of these
retreaded 1960s arguments is the notion that statistical disparities
between groups are strange and sinister, and can only be explained by
discrimination based on “stereotypes.”

What I discovered in the
course of my 16 years of research, including circling the globe twice
in the process, is that statistical disparities among groups is the
rule — not the exception — in countries around the world. Many of
these disparities, whether in income or IQ, are at least as great as
those between blacks and whites in the United States. Most of these
other countries have histories that are very different from the history
of the United States, so the factors that supposedly explain inter
group differences here are often not present there. Yet the differences
are. Nor are these differences due to “stereotypes,” as some keep
repeating like a mantra. Differences in performances are quite real, so
it can hardly be surprising that there are differences in rewards.
Moreover, these differences often endure for centuries.

In Malaysia, for example,
the Chinese minority received a hundred times as many engineering
degrees as the Malay majority during the decade of the 1960s. They
received these degrees at institutions controlled by Malays. There was
no way these disparities were due to discrimination, because the
Chinese were in no position to discriminate against the Malays. At the
same time, the majority population of Nigeria, living in its northern
provinces, provided less than 10 percent of that country’s university
students. In Poland and Hungary between the two world wars, Jews were
no larger percentage of the populations of these countries than blacks
are today in the United States. Yet an absolute majority of the
physicians in both countries were Jews.

In the heyday of the
Ottoman Empire, the Turks who ran the empire were wholly unrepresented
among the leading financiers in its capital city of Istanbul. In
earlier centuries, the leading financiers in London were not Englishmen
but Italians, which is why there is today a Lombard Street in London’s
financial district. None of this was due to discrimination, but to
differences in skills. Yet we treat a pattern that is common around the
world as if it were strange and sinister here. And we take as our norm
something that is virtually nowhere to be found on this planet — an
even distribution of peoples in occupations, institutions and income

Even though blacks in the
United States have been subject to far more discrimination than blacks
in Brazil, the black-white difference in income is greater in Brazil.
This would be inexplicable if discrimination were the overwhelming
factor that it is claimed to be. But such differences are readily
explainable in terms of the different cultural histories of blacks in
the two countries. If discrimination were the key factor, then blacks
in the United States would be among the poorest blacks in the
hemisphere and blacks in Haiti would be the most prosperous, since
Haitians have been free of white rule for two centuries. Yet it is
Haitian blacks who are the poorest in the hemisphere and American
blacks who are the most prosperous in world.

You don’t even need to
leave Washington, D.C., to see that discrimination is not the be-all
and end-all depicted by Clinton and his supporters. Until the 1950s,
the Washington public school system was racially segregated and
discrimination was rampant. Yet the black academic high school in
Washington held its own and often outperformed most of the white
academic high schools in the city on tests as far back as 1899, nearly
a century ago. Today, with far more resources and a city controlled by
blacks, there is no hope of any such academic performance within the
foreseeable future. There are many reasons for this, but the
all-purpose explanation of discrimination just does not fit these
